Claims (31)
- 금속 기지에 사실상 연속적이고 길이 방향으로 위치된 복수개의 섬유를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 토우를 포함하며, 섬유는 세라믹 섬유와 탄소 섬유와 이들의 혼합물의 그룹중에서 선택되며, 금속 기지는 융점이 1100 ℃보다 크지 않으며, 와이어는 길이가 적어도 300 m이고 300 m의 와이어에 대해 0의 굽힘 파단값을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제1항에 있어서, 섬유를 포함하는 복수개의 토우를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 금속 기지는 융점이 1000 ℃보다 크지 않은 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 금속 기지는 융점이 700 ℃보다 크지 않은 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 금속 기지는 알루미늄, 아연, 주석 또는 이들의 합금을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 금속 기지는 알루미늄 또는 그 합금을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 금속 기지는 기지의 전체 중량에 기초해 볼 때 적어도 98 중량%의 알루미늄을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 섬유 수의 적어도 약 85%가 사실상 연속적인 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 와이어 전체 체적에 기초할 때 적어도 약 15 체적%의 섬유 그리고 약 70 체적% 보다 크지 않은 섬유를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 섬유는 세라믹 섬유인 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 섬유는 세라믹 산화물 섬유인 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 섬유는 다결정성, 알파 산화 알루미늄계 섬유인 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 다결정성, 알파 산화 알루미늄계 섬유는 각 섬유의 전체 금속 산화물 함량에 기초해서 적어도 99 중량%의 Al2O3를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 길이는 적어도 600 m이며, 600 m의 길이에 걸쳐 굽힘값이 0인 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 제2항에 있어서, 길이는 적어도 900 m이며, 900 m의 길이에 걸쳐 굽힘값이 0인 것을 특징으로 하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어.
- 금속 기지에 사실상 연속적이고 길이 방향으로 위치된 복수개의 섬유를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 토우를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 금속 기지 복합 와이어를 포함하며, 섬유는 세라믹 섬유와 탄소 섬유와 이들의 혼합물의 그룹중에서 선택되며, 금속 기지는 융점이 1100 ℃보다 크지 않으며, 와이어는 길이가 적어도 300 m이고 300 m의 와이어에 대해 0의 굽힘 파단값을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 케이블.
- 제16항에 있어서, 섬유를 포함하는 복수개의 토우를 포함하는 것을 특징으로하는 케이블.

- 금속 기지에 사실상 연속적이고 종방향으로 위치된 복수개의 섬유를 포함하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어를 제조하기 위한 방법이며, 상기 방법은,금속 기지 재료의 융점이 1100 ℃보다 크지 않은 용융된 금속 기지 재료가 함유된 체적을 제공하는 단계와,용융된 기지 재료가 함유된 체적내에 세라믹 섬유, 탄소 섬유 및 이들의 혼합물의 그룹중에서 선택된 사실상 연속적인 복수개의 섬유를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 토우를 침지하는 단계와,침윤된 복수개의 섬유가 제공되도록 용융된 금속 기지 재료의 적어도 일부를 복수개의 섬유 내에 침윤시키기 위해 용융된 금속 기지 재료가 함유된 체적의 적어도 일부가 진동하도록 초음파 에너지를 가하는 단계와,복수개의 섬유를 포함하는 적어도 하나의 토우를 포함하는 금속 기지 복합 와이어를 제공하기 위해 용융된 금속 기지 재료를 고화시키는 조건 하에서 용융된 금속 기지 재료가 함유된 체적으로부터 침윤된 복수개의 섬유를 회수하는 단계를 포함하며, 섬유는 금속 기지에 사실상 연속적이고 길이 방향으로 위치되며, 금속 기지는 융점이 1100 ℃보다 크지 않으며, 와이어는 길이가 적어도 300 m이고 300 m의 길이에 걸쳐 0의 굽힘 파단값을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제28항에 있어서, 섬유를 포함하는 복수개의 토우를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
