Abstract

Description
자기 광학 기억 시스템에서, 회전식 디스크상에 저장된 자기 광학(MO) 기록 자료를 이용하여, 정보는 자기 영역의 공간 변화량으로서 디스크상에 기록될 수 있다. 판독동안에, 자기 영역 패턴은 광학 편광 작용을 조정하고, 검출 시스템은 광학 포맷에서 전자 포맷으로 최종 신호를 변환시킨다.

압축시키면 종래와 비교하여 주어진 체적내에 놓을 수 있는 자기 광학 디스크의 수를 증가시킬 수 있는 개량된 자기 광학 플라잉 헤드가 필요하다. 개량된 플라잉 광학 헤드는 바람직하게 많은 수의 구경(aperture), 축소된 헤드 부피. 매우 높은 공진 주파수 미세 트랙 서보잉 디바이스를 제공할 수 있어서, 매우 미세한 트랙 서보 대역을 만들고, 상대적을 쉽게 제조할 수 있다. 추가로, 플라잉 자기 광학 헤드는 자기 광학 디스크 액세스 시간, 데이터 전송 속도, 및 이용가능한 자기 광학 디스크 트랙 밀도를 향상시킬 수 있다.

발명의 개요
본 발명은 많은 수의 구경, 축소된 헤드 부피, 미세 트랙 서보 대역, 증가된 자기 광학 디스크 트랙 밀도, 축소된 데이터 액세스 시간, 증가된 데이터 전송 속도, 주어진 체적에서 액세스가능한 자기 광학 디스크의 수의 증가, 및, 사용될 각 디스크의 양 면에 기록 및 판독할 수 있는 능력을 바람직하게 제공하는 플라잉 자기 광학(FMO) 헤드를 근거로 하여 시스템의 데이터 기억 및 검색을 향샹시킨다.
