Abstract

본 발명은 다차로 하이패스 시스템에서 차로별로 설치된 다수의 카메라를 통해 동일시점에 촬영된 각 차로 영상을 이용하여 하나의 파노라마 영상을 생성하고, 이 파노라마 영상을 포함하는 차량번호정보를 관리함으로써, 차선 걸침 주행이나 차로 변경 주행 등의 상황에서도 차량번호를 정확하게 인식할 수 있도록 해 주는 기술에 관한 것이다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 다차로 하이패스 시스템에서의 파노라마 영상을 이용한 차량번호 인식정보 제공방법은, 차량 감지기에서 하이패스 차로를 주행하는 차량에 대하여 해당 차로에 대한 차량 감지 신호를 발생하는 제1 단계와, 차로별로 설치된 모든 영상 촬영기에서 차량 감지 신호 발생에 대응하여 자신의 차로에 대한 영상을 각각 촬영하여 제어수단으로 제공하는 제2 단계, 제어수단에서 각 영상 촬영기로부터 제공되는 모든 차로에 대한 차로 영상 중 차량 감지 신호를 발생한 차량 감지 차로에 해당하는 차로 영상에서 제1 차량 번호를 추출하는 제3 단계, 제어수단에서 상기 제2 단계에서 수집된 모든 차로 영상이 차로 순서대로 배치되도록 파노라마 영상을 생성하는 제4 단계, 제어수단에서 제1 차량 번호정보와 차량감지 차로영상정보 및 파노라마 영상정보를 서버로 제공하는 제5 단계 및, 서버에서 파노라마 영상정보를 분석하여 제2 차량번호를 추출하고, 제2 차량번호와 제1 차량번호를 비교하여 차량번호 인식오류를 판단하며, 제1 및 제2 차량번호가 일치하지 않는 경우에는 파노라마 영상에 존재하는 타 차량번호에 해당하는 차량감지 차로영상 및 파노라마 영상을 이용하여 해당 차량번호를 재추출함으로써 요금부과 대상 차량번호를 결정하는 제6 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
