Abstract
Description
이때, 턴-온된 박막 트랜지스터(110)의 소스 전극에 공급된 화상정보는 드레인 전극을 경유하여 화소전극에 공급되고, 상기 공통전압 배선들(115)에는 공통전압(Vcom)이 공급된다. 상기 화소전극에 공급된 화상정보와 상기 공통전압(Vcom)에 의해 단위 액정 셀(120)의 액정층에 전계가 인가되어 액정의 광투과율이 조절된다.
Claims (6)
- 수직교차하도록 배열된 게이트 배선들 및 데이터 배선들;상기 게이트 배선들 및 데이터 배선들 사이에 접속되어 단위 액정 셀들을 스위칭하는 박막 트랜지스터들;상기 게이트 배선들에 매 프레임 별로 순차적으로 주사신호를 인가하고, 프레임과 프레임 사이의 수직 블랭킹(vertical blanking) 기간에 상기 게이트 배선들에 펄스(pulse)를 인가하여 상기 박막 트랜지스터들을 턴-온시키는 게이트 구동부;및상기 게이트 구동부와 동기되어 매 프레임 별로 화상이 표시될 수 있도록 데이터 배선들에 화상정보를 인가하고, 상기 수직 블랭킹 기간에 상기 데이터 배선들에 접지전위 혹은 접지전위보다 크거나 작은 전위 중 하나의 전위를 인가하여 턴-온된 박막 트랜지스터들을 통해 액정 셀들에 누적된 직류성분을 방전시키는 데이터 구동부;를 구비하여 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 잔상 제거장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 게이트 구동부는 상기 수직 블랭킹 기간에 액정 패널의 모든 게이트 배선들에 펄스를 동시에 인가하는 액정 패널의 잔상 제거장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 게이트 구동부는 상기 수직 블랭킹 기간에 하나의 게이트 배선 단위로 순차적으로 펄스를 인가하는 액정 패널의 잔상 제거장치.
- 수직교차하는 게이트 배선들과 데이터 배선들에 주사신호와 화상정보를 제공하고, 상기 게이트 배선들과 데이터 배선들 사이에 접속된 박막 트랜지스터들을 통해 단위 액정 셀들을 스위칭하여 제n프레임의 화상을 표시하는 단계;상기 제n프레임의 화상을 표시한 후, 수직 블랭킹(vertical blanking) 기간에 상기 게이트 배선들에 박막 트랜지스터들을 턴-온시키는 펄스를 인가하고, 데이터 배선들에 접지전위 혹은 접지전위보다 크거나 작은 전위 중 하나의 전위를 인가하여 액정 셀들에 누적된 직류성분을 방전시키는 단계; 및상기 액정 셀들에 누적된 직류성분을 방전시킨 후, 상기 게이트 배선들과 데이터 배선들에 주사신호와 화상정보를 제공하고, 상기 박막 트랜지스터들을 통해 단위 액정 셀들을 스위칭하여 제n+1프레임의 화상을 표시하는 단계;를 포함하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 잔상 제거방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 액정 셀들에 누적된 직류성분을 방전시키는 단계는 상기 수직 블랭킹 기간에 액정 패널의 모든 액정 셀들에 대해서 동시에 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 잔상 제거방법.
- 제 4 항에 있어서, 상기 액정 셀들에 누적된 직류성분을 방전시키는 단계는 매 수직 블랭킹 기간 마다 액정 패널의 한 라인의 액정 셀들에 대해서 순차적으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정 패널의 잔상 제거방법.
