Description
図2及び図3に示すように、灯具本体10は、光の照射方向(本例では、車両の側方(左側又は右側)及び車両の後方側)に開口するハウジング11と、ハウジング11に取り付けられたインナーパネル12と、ハウジング11の後側から導出され、電力を供給するためのコネクタCNを有するケーブルCAと、を備えている。
アウターレンズ20は、図1に示すように、光の照射方向(本例では、車両の側方(左側又は右側)及び車両の後方側)に開口するハウジング11(図2及び図3参照)の開口を覆うようにハウジング11に対して取り付けられる部材である。

Claims (11)
- 車両用灯具のアウターレンズであって、
前記アウターレンズは、
第1材料で形成された第1領域と、
前記第1領域に隣接し、ハウジングと接触する領域以外の領域を含む着色された第2材料で形成された第2領域と、を備え、
前記第1材料は、可視光領域に発光波長を有する半導体型の第1光源からの光を透過可能な材料であり、
前記第2材料は、
光の透過率が第1の透過率以下の第1波長領域と、
前記第1波長領域よりも長波長側に設けられ、光の透過率が第2の透過率以上の第2波長領域と、
前記第1波長領域と前記第2波長領域の間にある第3波長領域と、を備え、
前記第1波長領域は、少なくとも可視光領域内に設定されるS波長から短波長側の可視光を含む波長領域であり、
前記第2波長領域は、少なくとも前記S波長より長波長側の可視光領域内に設定されるM波長から前記M波長よりも更に長波長側のL波長までの波長領域を含み、
前記第1の透過率は、前記第1波長領域の光の透過を抑制する低い透過率に設定されており、
前記第2の透過率は、前記第2波長領域の光を透過する高い透過率に設定されており、
前記第3波長領域は、前記S波長から前記M波長に向かって透過率が高くなるように設定されており、
前記透過率は、前記第2材料が含有する着色剤によって調整されており、
前記第1波長領域が前記発光波長を含むことを特徴とするアウターレンズ。 - 前記第1の透過率及び前記第2の透過率は、前記第2材料を厚さ1mmの板材にして測定したときの透過率であり、
前記第1の透過率が5%以下であるとともに、前記第2の透過率が70%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアウターレンズ。 - 前記第2波長領域は、少なくとも808nm、840nm、940nm、980nm、1064nm、1070nm又は1090nmのいずれかの波長を含む範囲として設定されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアウターレンズ。
- 前記S波長が680nm以上、780nm未満の波長であり、
前記発光波長が550nm以上、680nm未満の波長範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアウターレンズ。 - 前記アウターレンズは、前記第2領域に前記第1光源からの光を遮光可能なリブ構造を有していないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアウターレンズ。
- 前記第1材料及び前記第2材料は、ベース材料が熱可塑性樹脂であり、
前記第2材料は、前記ベース材料に着色剤として染料を含有させたものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のアウターレンズ。 - 車両用灯具であって、
前記車両用灯具は、
光の照射方向に開口し、可視光領域に発光波長を有する半導体型の第1光源を収容したハウジングを有する灯具本体と、
前記ハウジングの開口を覆うアウターレンズと、を備え、
前記アウターレンズは、
可視光領域に発光波長を有する半導体型の第1光源からの光を透過可能な第1材料で形成された第1領域と、
前記第1領域に隣接し、前記ハウジングと接触する領域以外の領域を含む着色された第2材料で形成された第2領域と、を備え、
前記第2材料は、
光の透過率が第1の透過率以下の第1波長領域と、
前記第1波長領域よりも長波長側に設けられ、光の透過率が第2の透過率以上の第2波長領域と、
前記第1波長領域と前記第2波長領域の間にある第3波長領域と、を備え、
前記第1波長領域は、少なくとも可視光領域内に設定されるS波長から短波長側の可視光を含む波長領域であり、
前記第2波長領域は、少なくとも前記S波長より長波長側の可視光領域内に設定されるM波長から前記M波長よりも更に長波長側のL波長までの波長領域を含み、
前記第1の透過率は、前記第1波長領域の光の透過を抑制する低い透過率に設定されており、
前記第2の透過率は、前記第2波長領域の光を透過する高い透過率に設定されており、
前記第3波長領域は、前記S波長から前記M波長に向かって透過率が高くなるように設定されており、
前記透過率は、第2材料が含有する着色剤によって調整されており、
前記第1波長領域が前記発光波長を含むことを特徴とする車両用灯具。 - 前記アウターレンズは前記第1光源からの光が前記第2領域に入射するのを遮光可能なリブ構造を有していないとともに、前記灯具本体も前記第1光源からの光が前記第2領域に入射するのを遮光可能なリブ構造を有していないことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の車両用灯具。
- 前記第1の透過率及び前記第2の透過率は、前記第2材料を厚さ1mmの板材にして測定したときの透過率であり、
前記第1の透過率が5%以下であるとともに、前記第2の透過率が70%以上であり、
前記第2波長領域は、少なくとも808nm、840nm、940nm、980nm、1064nm、1070nm又は1090nmのいずれかの波長を含む範囲として設定されており、
前記S波長が680nm以上、780nm未満の波長であり、
前記発光波長が550nm以上、680nm未満の波長範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の車両用灯具。 - 前記第1材料及び前記第2材料は、ベース材料が熱可塑性樹脂であり、
前記第2材料は、前記ベース材料に着色剤として染料を含有させたものであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の車両用灯具。 - 車両用灯具の製造方法であって、
光の照射方向に開口し、可視光領域に発光波長を有する半導体型の第1光源を収容したハウジングを有する灯具本体を準備する工程と、
前記ハウジングの開口を覆うアウターレンズを準備する工程と、
前記アウターレンズと前記ハウジングの接触する領域をレーザ溶着する工程と、を備え、
前記アウターレンズが請求項1に記載のアウターレンズであり、
前記レーザ溶着する工程では、前記第2波長領域内の波長を有するレーザ光が用いられることを特徴とする製造方法。
