Claims (5)
- 厚さ方向に一列に重なるように積層された複数の略直方体状の角形電池を含む電池積層体と、
前記各角形電池における積層方向と直交する直交方向の一方側側面が略同一平面上に位置するように前記電池積層体の前記直交方向の一方側を拘束し、冷却剤を流動させる一方側冷却剤通路が内部に設けられる一方側拘束部材と、
前記各角形電池の前記直交方向の他方側側面が略同一平面上に位置するように前記電池積層体の前記直交方向の他方側を拘束し、冷却剤を流動させる他方側冷却剤通路が内部に設けられる他方側拘束部材と、
前記電池積層体における前記積層方向の一方側の端面に当接することで前記電池積層体の前記積層方向の一方側を拘束する一方側エンドプレートと、
前記電池積層体における前記積層方向の他方側の端面に当接することで前記電池積層体の前記積層方向の他方側を拘束する他方側エンドプレートと、を備え、
前記一方側エンドプレートと前記他方側エンドプレートのうちの少なくとも一方には、冷却剤を通過させるエンド側冷却剤通路が設けられ、そのエンド側冷却剤通路が、前記一方側冷却剤通路と前記他方側冷却剤通路とに連通する、電池モジュール。 - 複列に配置された複数の電池積層体であって、前記各電池積層体が厚さ方向に一列に重なるように積層された複数の略直方体状の角形電池を含む前記複数の電池積層体と、
積層方向に直交する直交方向に隣り合う各2つの前記電池積層体の間に設けられて、2つの前記電池積層体のうちの一方の前記電池積層体における他方の前記電池積層体側の側面と、前記他方の電池積層体における前記一方の電池積層体側の側面とを拘束し、前記2つの電池積層体の両方を同時に冷却する冷却剤を流動させる共有冷却剤通路が内部に設けられる共有拘束部材と、
前記複数の電池積層体のうちで前記直交方向の両端に位置する前記電池積層体の前記直交方向の外側を拘束し、冷却剤を流動させる外側冷却剤通路が内部に設けられる外側拘束部材と、
前記複数の電池積層体における前記積層方向の一方側を拘束する一体の一方側エンドプレートと、
前記複数の電池積層体における前記積層方向の他方側を拘束する一体の他方側エンドプレートと、を備え、
前記一方側エンドプレートと前記他方側エンドプレートのうちの少なくとも一方には、冷却剤を通過させるエンド側冷却剤通路が設けられ、そのエンド側冷却剤通路は、全ての前記共有冷却剤通路と2つの前記外側冷却剤通路とに連通する、電池パック。 - 前記エンド側冷却剤通路は、前記一方側エンドプレートのみに設けられ、
前記エンド側冷却剤通路は、
前記一方側エンドプレートの前記直交方向の一方側の端面に冷却剤供給用開口を有し、前記冷却剤供給用開口から前記直交方向の他方側に延在する冷却剤供給通路と、
前記一方側エンドプレートの前記直交方向の一方側の端面に冷却剤排出用開口を有し、前記冷却剤排出用開口から前記冷却剤供給通路に対して間隔をおいた状態で前記直交方向の他方側に延在する冷却剤排出通路と、を有し、
前記共有冷却剤通路及び前記外側冷却剤通路の夫々は、U字状の形状を有し、
前記共有冷却剤通路及び前記外側冷却剤通路の夫々は、一方側端部が前記冷却剤供給通路に連通し、他方側端部が前記冷却剤排出通路に連通する、請求項2に記載の電池パック。 - 全ての前記共有冷却剤通路と2つの前記外側冷却剤通路は、前記一方側エンドプレートの前記直交方向の一方側から前記直交方向に離れるにしたがって冷却剤が通過する断面積が次第に大きくなる、請求項3に記載の電池パック。
- 請求項2乃至4のいずれか1つに記載の2つの電池パックを備え、
前記2つの電池パックのうちの一方の前記電池パックにおける前記一方側エンドプレートと、前記2つの電池パックのうちの他方の前記電池パックにおける前記一方側エンドプレートが、接合されている、統合電池パック。
