Abstract
十分な充電状態が保たれた組電池および蓄電装置を提供することにある。
本発明は、少なくとも一部が直接に接続される複数の電池13からなる組電池11の製造方法であって、電池13は、層状岩塩型化合物を含む正極と、チタン化合物を含む負極と、を含み、複数の電池13を充電状態(SOC)100%まで充電する工程と、複数の電池13を接続し、組電池11を形成する工程とを順次行う、組電池の製造方法である。
Description
本発明を、係る蓄電装置の一実施形態である図1を用いて説明する。図1は蓄電装置の斜視図である。蓄電装置10は、複数の電池13からなる組電池11と、充放電装置12とを含む。
電池13は、正極、負極およびセパレータからなる積層体と、非水電解液と、端子と、が封入体で密封されてなる。
正極および負極は、金属イオンの挿入および脱離をする機能を有する。この挿入および脱離により、電池の充電および放電が為される。

Li1+xZnyMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.1、0<y≦0.1)、
Li1+xCryMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.1、0<y≦0.1)、
Li1+xNiyMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.05、0.45≦y≦0.5)、
Li1+xNiy−zAlzMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.05、0.45≦y≦0.5、0.005≦z≦0.03)、
またはLi1+xNiy−zTizMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.05、0.45≦y≦0.5、0.005≦z≦0.03)が好ましく、
Li1+xAlyMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.1、0<y≦0.1)、
Li1+xMgyMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.1、0<y≦0.1)、
Li1+xNiyMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.05、0.45≦y≦0.5)、
またはLi1+xNiy−zTizMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.05、0.45≦y≦0.5、0.005≦z≦0.03)がより好ましく、
Li1+xNiyMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.05、0.45≦y≦0.5)、
またはLi1+xNiy−zTizMn2―x―yO4(0≦x≦0.05、0.45≦y≦0.5、0.005≦z≦0.03)がさらに好ましい。
正極および負極の製造方法としては、少なくとも活物質および溶媒からなるスラリーを作製し、その後スラリーを集電体上に担持し、そして溶媒を除去して、活物質層を集電体上に形成する方法が好適に用いられる。
積層体は、正極、負極およびセパレータが交互に積層または捲回されてなる。
セパレータは、正極と負極との間に設置され、これらの間の電子やホールの伝導を阻止しつつ、これらの間のリチウムイオンの伝導を仲介する媒体としての機能を有し、少なくとも電子およびホールの伝導性を有さないものである。
非水電解液は、負極と正極との間のイオン伝達を媒介する機能を有する。
端子は、電池13と外部機器とを電気的に接続する機能を有する。
封入体は、積層体、非水電解液、および積層体を電気的に接続する端子を封入する部材であり、封入したものを水分または空気などから保護する機能を有する。
組電池11は、複数の電池13が少なくとも一部が直列接続されることを要し、好ましくは並列接続および直列接続を組み合わせて接続される。
充放電装置12は、組電池11を充放電する機能を少なくとも有する。
蓄電装置10の製造方法は、上述した製造方法で組電池11を製造する工程と、この工程の後に充放電装置12により組電池11をSOC30%以上に放電する工程とを含む。
まず、Li1.1Al0.1Mn1.8O4(以下、LAMO)とコバルト酸リチウム(LCO)とを重量比22:1で含む正極活物質、導電助材としてアセチレンブラック、およびバインダーとしてPVdFを、それぞれ固形分濃度で100重量部、5重量部、および5重量部となるように混合し、正極スラリーを得た。
次に、6個の電池を充放電装置(HJ1005SD8、北斗電工社製)に接続した。
組電池における最大容量差を0.22Ahとし、設計容量に対する最大容量差の比率を2.2%とした。それら以外は実施例1と同じとした。
組電池のSOCが30%となるまで、出荷状態の蓄電装置を放電した。それ以外は実施例1と同じとした。
組電池における各電池のSOCを0%とした。その後、各電池で蓄電装置を作製した。そして、各電池がSOC100%以上となるまで蓄電装置を充電した。それら以外は実施例1と同じとした。
組電池における各電池のSOCを0%とした。その後、各電池で蓄電装置を作製した。その後、各電池がSOC100%以上となるまで蓄電装置を充電した。そして組電池のSOCが30%となるまで、出荷状態の蓄電装置を放電した。それら以外は実施例1と同じとした。
蓄電装置を用いて、60℃の雰囲気で、1000mAの定電流による充放電を1000回行った。このときの充電終止電圧は2.7Vとし、放電終止電圧は2.0Vとした。
サイクル寿命試験前後に、蓄電装置における全ての電池の厚みを測定し、その変化量から、発生したガス量を計算した。

Claims (5)
- 少なくとも一部が直接に接続される複数の電池からなる組電池の製造方法であって、
前記複数の電池は、それぞれ、層状岩塩型化合物を含む正極と、チタン化合物を含む負極と、を含み、
前記複数の電池を充電状態(SOC)100%まで充電する工程と、
前記複数の電池を接続し、前記組電池を形成する工程と、
を順次行う、組電池の製造方法。 - 前記正極が、さらにスピネル型マンガン酸リチウムを含む
請求項1に記載の組電池の製造方法。 - 前記チタン化合物が、チタン酸化合物、チタン酸リチウムおよび二酸化チタンよりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1または2に記載の組電池の製造方法。
- 前記複数の電池の最大容量差が、設計容量の2%以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の組電池の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の製造方法で組電池を製造する工程と、
前記工程の後に、充放電装置により前記組電池をSOC30%以上に放電する工程と、を含む、蓄電装置の製造方法。
