Abstract
Description
(1)自動車ボディBは、その構造上、熱風が当たり易い部位と当たり難い部位を含んで構成されることが殆どである。たとえば、サイドドアDのヒンジH1,H2の近傍の狭隘部N1、N2は、サイドドアDを閉じた状態で上塗り塗装乾燥装置1へ流しても、熱風が廻り込み難く、昇温し難い。これに対して、サイドドアDのアウタパネルなどの外板部は、熱風が直接吹き付けられ易く、昇温し易い。このため、上塗り塗装乾燥装置1の熱風温度や通過時間などの設定条件を、昇温し難い狭隘部N1,N2に合わせると、昇温し易い外板部が品質保証基準を大幅に超えて無駄なエネルギが消費されるだけでなく、場合によってはオーバーベークが生じ、却って塗膜品質を低下させるおそれもある。かと言って、上塗り塗装乾燥装置1の熱風温度や通過時間などの設定条件を、昇温し易い外板部に合わせると、狭隘部N1,N2の塗膜の乾燥条件が品質保証基準を満たさず、いわゆる焼き甘が生じて、塗膜性能の低下や塗膜剥がれが生じるおそれがある。本実施形態では、サイドドアDが開いた状態で搬送される局所加熱部17において、相対的に昇温し難い狭隘部N1,N2の塗布面に熱エネルギを局所的に与えることで、自動車ボディBの塗膜全域に亘る乾燥条件の均一化を図ることができ、塗膜品質だけでなく省エネルギも実現することができる。またこれ以外は、炉幅が狭い乾燥炉本体10とすることができるので総合スペースを最小限にすることができる。

本発明は、外板部と、ヒンジの近傍のボディシェル本体と蓋物部品との塗布面とを含む自動車ボディの、主として塗布面に塗布されたウェット塗膜に熱エネルギを与える熱源と、当該熱源を塗布面に接近離反させる熱源移動手段とを備えることで、上記課題を解決する。

- 外板部と狭隘部とを含む自動車ボディの前記狭隘部の塗布面に塗布されたウェット塗膜を乾燥する塗装乾燥装置であって、
主として前記狭隘部の塗布面に熱エネルギを与える熱源と、
前記熱源を前記狭隘部に接近離反させる熱源移動手段と、を備える塗装乾燥装置。 - 前記熱源は、赤外線ヒータ、ハロゲンヒータ、誘導加熱ヒータ又は熱風生成手段を含む請求項1に記載の塗装乾燥装置。
- 前記自動車ボディは、ボディシェル本体にヒンジを介して蓋物部品が装着され、
前記狭隘部は、前記ヒンジの近傍の前記ボディシェル本体と前記蓋物部品との塗布面を含み、
前記自動車ボディは、前記蓋物部品を開いた状態で搬送され、
前記熱源移動手段は、前記自動車ボディの搬送移動に追従して前記熱源を移動する請求項1又は2に記載の塗装乾燥装置。 - 前記熱源移動手段は、前記熱源を前記狭隘部に接近させる前に前記蓋物部品を開き、前記熱源を前記狭隘部から離反させた後に前記蓋物部品を閉じる請求項3に記載の塗装乾燥装置。
- 前記自動車ボディは、水平に対して後ろ上がりの姿勢にて搬送される請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の塗装乾燥装置。
- 乾燥炉本体を備え、当該乾燥炉本体は、
前記熱源及び前記熱源移動手段により前記狭隘部の塗布面のウェット塗膜を乾燥する局所乾燥領域と、
熱風生成供給手段により前記自動車ボディの全体に熱風を吹き付け、前記自動車ボディに塗布された塗膜を乾燥する昇温及び温度保持領域と、を含む請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の塗装乾燥装置。 - 外板部と狭隘部とを含む自動車ボディの前記狭隘部の塗布面に塗布されたウェット塗膜を乾燥する塗装乾燥方法であって、
主として前記狭隘部の塗布面に熱エネルギを与える熱源を前記狭隘部に接近させ、前記狭隘部の塗布面を局所的に乾燥する局所乾燥工程を有する塗装乾燥方法。 - 前記熱源は、赤外線ヒータ、ハロゲンヒータ、誘導加熱ヒータ又は熱風生成手段を含む請求項7に記載の塗装乾燥方法。
- 前記自動車ボディは、ボディシェル本体にヒンジを介して蓋物部品が装着され、
前記狭隘部は、前記ヒンジの近傍の前記ボディシェル本体と前記蓋物部品との塗布面を含み、
前記局所乾燥工程において、前記自動車ボディは、前記蓋物部品を開いた状態で搬送されるとともに、前記自動車ボディの搬送移動に追従して前記熱源を移動する請求項7又は8に記載の塗装乾燥方法。 - 前記自動車ボディの全体に熱風を吹き付け、前記自動車ボディに塗布された塗膜を乾燥する昇温及び温度保持工程をさらに有する請求項7〜9のいずれか一項に記載の塗装乾燥方法。
