Claims (5)
- 電解液の供給口及び排出口を有する給排室と、
気相と接触する第一撥水層と前記第一撥水層上に重ねられているガス拡散層とを備える正極と、嫌気性微生物を保持する負極とを有する微生物燃料電池を備え、かつ、前記給排室の内部に設けられる一又は二以上の発電カセットと、
前記気相と接触する第二撥水層を備え、かつ、前記給排室の内部に設けられる一又は二以上の浄化カセットと、
を備え、
前記給排室において、前記発電カセットは、前記電解液が前記供給口から前記排出口へと流れる際の上流側に設けられ、前記浄化カセットは、前記発電カセットよりも下流側に設けられる微生物燃料電池システム。 - 前記浄化カセットにおける前記第二撥水層上に、好気性微生物を保持する保持体が重ねられている請求項1に記載の微生物燃料電池システム。
- 前記ガス拡散層は、多孔質な導電性材料と、前記導電性材料に担持されている触媒とを備える請求項1又は2に記載の微生物燃料電池システム。
- 前記触媒が、金属原子がドープされている炭素系材料である請求項3に記載の微生物燃料電池システム。
- 複数の前記発電カセットを備え、
前記給排室において、最も下流側に設けられた前記発電カセットの電流密度は、複数の前記発電カセットのうち、発生する電流密度が最も高い発電カセットの最大電流密度の20%以上である請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の微生物燃料電池システム。
