Abstract
Description
(1)基材と、基材の表面に形成された被覆層とを備える被覆切削工具であって、
前記被覆層は、α型酸化アルミニウム層を含み、
前記α型酸化アルミニウム層の(116)面における残留応力値は、0より大きく、
前記α型酸化アルミニウム層の(012)面における残留応力値は、0より小さい、被覆切削工具。
前記α型酸化アルミニウム層の(012)面における残留応力値をBとすると、−800≦B≦−100MPaである、(1)の被覆切削工具。
前記Ti化合物層は、前記基材と前記α型酸化アルミニウム層との間に形成されている、(1)〜(4)のいずれかの被覆切削工具。
前記TiCN層に含まれるCとNの合計に対するCの原子比[C/(C+N)]は、0.7≦C/(C+N)≦0.9である、(1)〜(5)のいずれかの被覆切削工具。
前記Ti化合物層の平均厚さは、2〜15μmである(1)〜(6)のいずれかの被覆切削工具。
本発明の被覆切削工具は、基材と、その基材の表面に形成された被覆層を含む。被覆切削工具は、例えば、フライス加工用インサート、旋削加工用インサート、ドリル、またはエンドミルなどである。
本発明の基材は、例えば、超硬合金、サーメット、セラミックス、立方晶窒化硼素焼結体、ダイヤモンド焼結体、または高速度鋼である。これらの中では、耐摩耗性および耐欠損性が優れているため、超硬合金、サーメット、セラミックスまたは立方晶窒化硼素焼結体が好ましい。
本発明の被覆層の平均の厚さは、3〜30μmであることが好ましい。被覆層の厚さが3μm未満の場合、被覆層の耐摩耗性が低下する場合がある。被覆層の厚さが30μmを超える場合、被覆層と基材との密着性、および、被覆層の耐欠損性が低下する場合がある。被覆層の平均の厚さは、さらに好ましくは、3〜20μmである。
本発明の被覆層は、酸化アルミニウム層を含む。酸化アルミニウム層は、1層でもよく、複数の層でもよい。酸化アルミニウム層の結晶型は、α型である。
α型酸化アルミニウム層の(012)面を選択して測定した時の残留応力値Bは、相対的にα型酸化アルミニウム層の表面側の残留応力を示していると思われる。
α型酸化アルミニウム層の(116)面を選択して測定した時の残留応力値Aは、相対的にα型酸化アルミニウム層の内部側の残留応力を示していると思われる。
本発明の被覆層は、Ti化合物層を含むことが好ましい。被覆層がTi化合物層を含む場合、被覆層の耐摩耗性が向上する。Ti化合物層は、1層でもよく、複数の層でもよい。
本発明の被覆切削工具の被覆層を構成する各層は、例えば、以下の方法によって形成することができる。
被削材:FCD600
被削材の形状:円盤φ180mm×L20mm(円盤の中心にφ75mmの四角形の穴)
切削速度:150m/min
送り:0.35mm/rev
切り込み:2.0mm
クーラント:有り
被削材:FC200
被削材の形状:15mm幅の溝2本入り円盤φ180mm×L20mm(円盤の中心にφ65mmの穴)
切削速度:400m/min
送り:0.35mm/rev
切り込み:2.0mm
クーラント:有り
Claims (8)
- 基材と、基材の表面に形成された被覆層とを備える被覆切削工具であって、
前記被覆層は、α型酸化アルミニウム層を含み、
前記α型酸化アルミニウム層の(116)面における残留応力値は、0より大きく、
前記α型酸化アルミニウム層の(012)面における残留応力値は、0より小さい、被覆切削工具。 - 前記α型酸化アルミニウム層の(116)面における残留応力値をAとすると、20≦A≦500MPaであり、
前記α型酸化アルミニウム層の(012)面における残留応力値をBとすると、−800≦B≦−100MPaである、請求項1に記載の被覆切削工具。 - 前記残留応力値は、sin2ψ法により測定された値である請求項1または2に記載の被覆切削工具。
- 前記α型酸化アルミニウム層の平均厚さは、1〜15μmである請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の被覆切削工具。
- Ti元素と、C、N、OおよびBから成る群より選ばれる少なくとも1種の元素との化合物を含むTi化合物層をさらに備え、
前記Ti化合物層は、前記基材と前記α型酸化アルミニウム層との間に形成されている、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の被覆切削工具。 - 前記Ti化合物層は、TiCN層を含み、
前記TiCN層に含まれるCとNの合計に対するCの原子比[C/(C+N)]は、0.7≦C/(C+N)≦0.9である請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の被覆切削工具。 - 前記被覆層の平均厚さは、3〜30μmであり、
前記Ti化合物層の平均厚さは、2〜15μmである請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の被覆切削工具。 - 前記基材は、超硬合金、サーメット、セラミックスまたは立方晶窒化硼素焼結体である請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の被覆切削工具。
