また、SCRシステムにおいて、アンモニアを吸着する材料として、ゼオライトが知られている。なお、一般に、排ガス浄化装置として、SCRシステムを用いる場合は、HC(Hydrocarbon)を酸化するために、排ガスの流れる方向に対して、SCRシステムの上流側に、DOC(Diesel Oxidation Catalyst)が配置される。
まず、Feで3重量%イオン交換された、平均粒径が2μm、シリカ/アルミナ比が40、比表面積が110m2/gであるβ型ゼオライト2250g、無機バインダ含有成分としての、固形分20重量%のアルミナゾル2600g、無機粒子としての、平均粒径が2μmのγアルミナ550g、無機繊維としての、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維780g、有機バインダとしての、メチルセルロース410gを混合混練して、原料ペースト1を得た。なお、ゼオライト粒子を硝酸鉄水溶液に含浸させることにより、Feでイオン交換した。また、ゼオライトのイオン交換量は、ICPS−8100(島津製作所社製)を用いて、IPC発光分析することにより求めた。次に、押出成形機を用いて、原料ペースト1を押出成形し、生の円柱状のハニカム成形体を得た。そして、マイクロ波乾燥機及び熱風乾燥機を用いて、ハニカム成形体を乾燥させた後、400℃で5時間脱脂した。次に、600℃で5時間焼成し、直径143mm、長さ150mmの円柱状のハニカムユニット11を作製した。なお、得られたハニカムユニット11は、長手方向に垂直な断面の開口率が60%であり、貫通孔の密度が78個/cm2であり、隔壁の厚さが0.25mmであり、見掛けの体積当たりのゼオライトの含有量が250g/Lであった。
Feで3重量%イオン交換された、平均粒径が2μm、シリカ/アルミナ比が40、比表面積が110m2/gであるβ型ゼオライト2250g、固形分20重量%のアルミナゾル2600g、平均粒径が2μmのγアルミナ410g、造孔剤としての、平均粒径が10μmのアクリル樹脂120g、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維780g、メチルセルロース410gを混合混練して、原料ペースト2を得た。
Feで3重量%イオン交換された、平均粒径が2μm、シリカ/アルミナ比が40、比表面積が110m2/gであるβ型ゼオライト2250g、固形分20重量%のアルミナゾル2600g、平均粒径が2μmのγアルミナ190g、造孔剤としての、平均粒径が10μmのアクリル樹脂300g、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維780g、メチルセルロース410gを混合混練して、原料ペースト3を得た。
焼成温度を600℃から1000℃に変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして、ハニカム構造体10を作製した(表1参照)。
平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのホウ酸アルミニウム繊維を用いた以外は、実施例4と同様にして、原料ペースト4を得た。
Feで3重量%イオン交換された、平均粒径が2μm、シリカ/アルミナ比が40、比表面積が110m2/gであるβ型ゼオライト2250g、固形分20重量%のアルミナゾル2600g、造孔剤としての、平均粒径が10μmの・・・600g、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維650g、メチルセルロース410gを混合混練して、原料ペースト5を得た。
平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmの炭化ケイ素繊維を用いた以外は、実施例2と同様にして、原料ペースト6を得た。
平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmの炭化ケイ素繊維を用いた以外は、実施例3と同様にして、原料ペースト7を得た。
平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmの炭化ケイ素繊維を用いた以外は、実施例6と同様にして、原料ペースト8を得た。
焼成温度を600℃から800℃に変更した以外は、実施例7と同様にして、ハニカム構造体10を作製した(表1参照)。

平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのシリカ−アルミナ繊維を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、原料ペースト9を得た。
平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのシリカ−アルミナ繊維を用いた以外は、実施例3と同様にして、原料ペースト10を得た。
Feで3重量%イオン交換された、平均粒径が2μm、シリカ/アルミナ比が40、比表面積が110m2/gであるβ型ゼオライト2250g、固形分20重量%のアルミナゾル2600g、平均粒径が2μmのγアルミナ675g、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維700g、メチルセルロース410gを混合混練して、原料ペースト11を得た。
平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmの炭化ケイ素繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維を用いた以外は、実施例9と同様にして、原料ペースト12を得た。
原料ペースト1の代わりに、原料ペースト11を用いた以外は、実施例4と同様にして、ハニカム構造体10を作製した(表1参照)。
平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmの炭化ケイ素繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのホウ酸アルミニウム繊維を用いた以外は、実施例9と同様にして、原料ペースト13を得た。
平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維の代わりに、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmの炭化ケイ素繊維を用いた以外は、実施例1と同様にして、原料ペースト14を得た。
実施例1〜9又は比較例1〜9のハニカム構造体の外周面に、保持シール材として、厚さ6mmのアルミナマット(46.5cm×15cm)(三菱化学社製)を巻き、金属容器の中に入れた状態で、インストロンを用いて押し込み、キャニングした。
Feで3重量%イオン交換された、平均粒径が2μm、シリカ/アルミナ比が40、比表面積が110m2/gであるβ型ゼオライト2250g、固形分20重量%のアルミナゾル2600g、造孔剤としての、平均粒径が10μmのアクリル樹脂600g、平均繊維径が1μm、平均繊維長が25μmのアルミナ繊維650g、メチルセルロース410gを混合混練して、原料ペースト5を得た。
Claims (13)
- ゼオライトと、無機バインダとを含み、複数の貫通孔が隔壁を隔てて長手方向に並設されたハニカムユニットを有するハニカム構造体であって、
該ハニカムユニットは、熱伝導率が0.15W/m/K以上0.60W/m/K以下であり、ヤング率が1.5MPa以上7.0MPa以下であることを特徴とするハニカム構造体。 - 前記ハニカムユニットは、見掛けの体積当たりの前記ゼオライトの含有量が230g/L以上270g/L以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記ゼオライトは、β型ゼオライト、Y型ゼオライト、フェリエライト、ZSM−5型ゼオライト、モルデナイト、フォージサイト、ゼオライトA及びゼオライトLからなる群より選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記ゼオライトは、アルミナに対するシリカのモル比が30以上50以下であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記ゼオライトは、Fe、Cu、Ni、Co、Zn、Mn、Ti、Ag及びVからなる群より選択される一種以上でイオン交換されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記ゼオライトは、二次粒子を含み、 該二次粒子の平均粒径が0.5μm以上10μm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記ハニカムユニットは、ゼオライトを除く無機粒子をさらに含有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記無機粒子は、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア、ジルコニア、セリア、ムライト及びこれらの前駆体からなる群より選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記無機バインダは、アルミナゾル、シリカゾル、チタニアゾル、水ガラス、セピオライト及びアタパルジャイトからなる群より選択される一種以上に含まれる固形分であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至8のいずれか一項に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記ハニカムユニットは、無機繊維をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記無機繊維は、アルミナ、シリカ、炭化ケイ素、シリカアルミナ、ガラス、チタン酸カリウム及びホウ酸アルミニウムからなる群より選択される一種以上であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 前記ハニカムユニットは、前記長手方向に垂直な断面の開口率が50%以上65%以下であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至11のいずれか一項に記載のハニカム構造体。
- 複数の前記ハニカムユニットが接着層を介して接着されていることを特徴とする請求項1乃至12のいずれか一項に記載のハニカム構造体。
