Abstract
Description
本発明の紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物を構成する酸化亜鉛としては、水性媒体への溶出を防止するために酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛を疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛で、平均一次粒子径が0.01〜1μmの酸化亜鉛が好ましく使用できる。当該被覆酸化亜鉛の平均一次粒子径が前記範囲を超えると、隠蔽力が大きくなり、透明性が低下するので、好ましくない。一方酸化亜鉛の平均一次粒子径が前記範囲より小さいと、紫外線遮断性が低下する。

本発明の紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物の製造方法は、最終的に目的とする水性分散組成物を得ることができる方法であれば、特に制限されない。
下記の表1に示す各配合組成物(表1においては、各材料の使用量は質量%で示す)をホモジナイザーにて分散し、実施例1〜9、比較例1〜2の紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物を得た。得られた紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物について下記の特性を評価した。結果を表1に示す。
紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物の分散性は、製造直後の紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物中の酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛をオルガノポリシロキサンで疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛の分散状態より評価した。
○:紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物中に分散させた酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛をオルガノポリシロキサンで疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛が浮遊もしくは沈降することなく均一に分散しているもの。
×:紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物中に分散させた酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛をオルガノポリシロキサンで疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛が浮遊もしくは沈降するもの。
紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物をサンプルビンに入れ室温で保管し、1日後、3日後、7日後の酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛をオルガノポリシロキサンで疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛の分散状態から判断した。
○:製造7日後に、紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物に分散させた酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛をオルガノポリシロキサンで疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛の沈降がないもの。
△:製造3日後に、紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物に分散させた酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛をオルガノポリシロキサンで疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛の沈降があるもの。
×:製造1日後に、紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物に分散させた酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛をオルガノポリシロキサンで疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛の沈降があるもの。

Claims (2)
- 酸化亜鉛粒子表面に高密度シリカの被覆層を有する酸化亜鉛を疎水化処理した酸化亜鉛が、ケン化度75〜95モル%、粘度平均重合度200〜5000のポリビニルアルコールの存在下で水性媒体中に分散されてなる水性分散組成物であって、前記ポリビニルアルコールの使用量が、前記被覆酸化亜鉛の10質量%以上であることを特徴とする紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物。
- 前記疎水化処理が、オルガノポリシロキサンによる疎水化処理である請求の範囲第1項記載の紫外線遮蔽用水性分散組成物。
