Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture superconductive wire which uses oxide superconductor of layer-formed perovskite type by subjecting the surface of a long base having a layer of Cu oxide to thermal spraying of a material containing a substance to become oxide superconductor, and performing high energy beam irradiation in oxygen atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Surface of a base for a long wire or tubing having surface layer of Cu oxide is subjected to fusion spray of a material containing a substance to become superconductor of oxide type, and then high energy beam irradiation is made in oxidating atmosphere. Covering with Cu oxide layer or, in particular, plasma thermal spraying will enhance close contact of component elements for oxide superconductor to then be fusion sprayed. This provides a superconductive wire using superconductor of oxide type of layer-formed perovskite type etc., which has high critical temp., to permit application to a superconductive magnet etc.
