Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent trailing of an image by covering the surface of an amorphous material layer laminated on a conductive supporting body with a resin film and leaving partial regions not covered and disclosed to the outside. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous material layer containing silicon laminated on the conductive supporting body 1 of an a-Si photosensitive body includes at least a photoconductive layer 3. The surface 5 of this amorphous material layer is covered with the resin film 6 made of acrylic resin, alkyd resin, or the like so as to leave partial regions not covered and disclosed to the outside, thus permitting products due to corona discharge to be made less liable to adhere to the surface 5 of the a-Si photosensitive body by the presence of fine ruggedness on the surface 5 incompletely covered with the resin film 6, and adsorption of water or moisture to be eliminated by the hydrophobicness inherent in the general properties of the resin film 6, and consequently, trailing of an image to be effectively prevented.
