Abstract
PURPOSE:To form an electrostatic latent image and improve its constrast when the image is reproduced by irradiating a light image to a transparent electrode and holding charge at the interface of a photoconductor layer and an insulator layer based on the bright parts of the light image. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image read-out system is composed of a transparent electrode 1, a photoconductor layer 2, an interface 3, an insulator layer 4, an electrode 5, switches 6, 7, a DC electric wire 8, light 11, charges 12, 13', 13 and 14, a film 15, transmitted light 16, etc. If the light 11 is irradiated to the film 15 having been printed on with the image, the transmitted light 16 past the transparent parts of the film 15 arrives at the transparent electrode 1. In this case, an electrostatic latent image of the bright parts of the image is formed. Hence, the electric signal read out is by the electrostatic latent image of the bright parts of the light image, and because of this, the variance owing to the unevenness of the device is not included in the electric signal by which the bright parts of the light image are read out.
