CONSTITUTION:The aluminum alloy contains, by weight, 0.8-4.0% Si, 0.20-0.40% Mg, 0.15-0.40% Cu and <=0.15% Ti, furthermore contg. at need one or two kinds between <=0.40% Cr and <=0.8% Mn and the balance consisting substantially of Al. In said alloy, casting faults such as hot cracks, casting blowholes, etc., are not generated at the time of casting and the faults such as cracks, etc., are not generated at the time of plastic working such as forging and spinning. In said alloy, since the improvement of strength and toughness are furthermore permitted by plastic working, a casting member is cast and a part or total of said member is subjected to plastic working, by which the products having high strength and high toughness can be obtd.
