Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a film whose saturation magnetic flux density and magnetic permeability are high, whose magnetostrictive constant is low and whose heat resistance is high by a method wherein a specific element is added to a ferromagnetic film composed mainly of Fe which contains an element capable of being solidly dissolved in the Fe in an interstitial manner and whose saturation magnetic flux density and magnetic permeability are high. CONSTITUTION:0.5-5 at.% of at least one element selected from a group of Al, Ga, In, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb, Sb, Bi, Se, Te, Po, Y, Hf, V, Mn, Tc, Re, Co, Cu and Zn is added to a ferromagnetic film composed mainly of Fe which contains an element capable of being solidly dissolved in the Fe in an interstitial manner. As the interstitial element, it is desirable to use one or more elements selected from B, N, C and P. By this setup, it is possible to form a magnetic film whose saturation magnetic flux density and magnetic permeability are high, whose magnetostrictive constant is low and whose heat resistance is high.
