Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the availability of the system energy in terms of the wavelength by using an optical transmitter which condenses the sunbeams to select the prescribed wavelength light via an optical filter and modulates this wavelength light with an information signal. CONSTITUTION:The sunbeams are condensed by a reflector 2 and the parallel sunbeams are produced through a lens 3. These condensed beams are transmitted through an optical filter 4 and a light beam of the prescribed wavelength is extracted. This extracted beam is made incident on a transducer 6 via a lens 5 and then made incident on an optical modulator 8 via an optical fiber 7. The modulator 8 modulates the light beam into the signal light by the electric signal showing the information to be transmitted. Then the signal light is transmitted into the space via a lens 9. In such a way, a large optical signal output is easily obtained and furthermore the optical wavelength can be obtained from the sunbeams containing the continuous wavelength components.
