Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a miniaturized and light-weight accumulator by arranging an elastic container in an ink passage or a hermetically sealed space connected to the former. CONSTITUTION:Ink in an ink chamber 45 is energized by a pump 46 and then is supplied to an ink jet recording head 51 through an accumulator 49. Next, the ink is ejected from this head 51 to perform sequential recording of paper on a platen 10. The accumulator 49 is formed by arranging an elastic container 62 in an ink passage 60 or a thermetically sealed space 61 connected to the former. A pressure variation by a pump 46 in the passage 60 is absorbed by expansion and contraction of the elastic container 62. In this way, the accumulator 49 is formed so that it becomes small and light-weight as a whole.
