Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an on-demand type printing head which has been improved not to generate satellite spots even if ink jetting speed increases by providing a capacity chamber having a small capacity between a jet nozzle hole and a pressure generating chamber. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a pressure generating chamber 12 which generates pressure for making ink droplets are narrowed down by small diaphragms A1, A2 and a capacity chamber 13 of which capacity is very small comparing with the pressure generating chamber 13 is provided between the diaphragm A1 and a jet nozzle 11. When electric signals are applied to a piezoelectric vibrator 16, a flexible plate 15 deflects and generates shock waves in the pressure generating chamber 12. Shock waves are conveyed to the capacity chamber 13 through the diaphragm A1 where high frequency components are removed, therefore an ink flow of less disturbance is spouted from the jet nozzle hole 11. Moreover, even if air enters through the nozzle hole 11, it is prevented from entering the pressure generating chamber 12 as such air is caused to stay in the capacity chamber 13.
