Abstract

PURPOSE:A liquid droplet recorder wherein the flight direction of the liquid droplets discharged from a discharge orifice which two nozzles have in common can be changed by controlling the pressures applied to the recording medium fluid in the nozzles by controlling the time periods during when the pressurizing means corresponding to the nozzles are operated. CONSTITUTION:A pressurized recording liquid is fed from a liquid storage chamber 17 to two nozzles 3 and 4, which have a discharge orifice 2 in common, through first liquid chambers 5 and 6 and annular second liquid chambers 11 and 12 sealed by diaphragms 7 and 8. Code signals obtained through the analysis of prints in terms of dots in X and Y coordinates are preset in a memory unit. With the time width of an impulse which changes the voltage applied to piezoelectric elements 9 and 10 from -E to +E controlled, so as to change the ratio between the pressures in the liquid chambers 5 and 6, the flight direction of the liquid droplets discharged from the orifice is so controlled that the droplets correspond to the dots.
