Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the titled printer reduced in size and cost wherein the pulsation of ink pressure is reduced by a novel electrical feed-back system. CONSTITUTION:Ink from an ink tank 9 is fed under pressure by a pump 17, and jetted from an ink jet head 1 by the pressure created by a piezoelectric vibrator 3. Ink droplets 8 are electrically charged by a charging power source 10, deflected by a deflecting electrode 11 for printing on recording paper 7. In this case, only the ink pulsation component is selected by vibrations such as ink pulsation fed from the pump 17 and exciting vibration fed from the piezoelectric vibrator 3 and is amplified, the selection and amplification being conducted by a band discriminator-amplifier 13 connected in series, the exciting signal is inputted to a phase or frequency modulator 15, where the signal is compared with an exciting signal fed from an exciting-signal generator 14 and is modulated, while the modulated signal is amplified by an amplifier 16, the resulting signal is used for exciting an exciting piezoelectric vibrator 2 to eliminate only the ink pulsation. Accordingly, a bulky accumulator is unnecessitated in said system.
