Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve reliability of the ink-jet recording with a comparatively simple constitution as well as at a low cost by a method wherein ink is jetted by the vibration of a first piezoelectric body, and the droplet jetting direction is changed by the deflecting vibration of a second piezoelectric body. CONSTITUTION:When the oscillation output is supplied to a piezoelectric vibrating plate 7 from an oscillator 19 as well as the signal to be recorded is applied to a piezoelectric vibrator 9 from a signal generator 20, a nozzle head 1 is deflected so that the flying direction of droplets 3 is changed. With the flying direction changed, the droplets 3 deviate from the course to an ink recovering device 15 and print dots on a recording paper 18. On the other hand, when no signal is applied to the piezoelectric vibrator 9 for deflection, the nozzle head 1 is not deflected, so that the jetted droplets 3 are recovered by the ink recovering device 15 and returned to a tank 14 through a filter 16 and a return pipe 17. Since the nozzle head 1 is fed in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the recording paper 18, a two-dimensional pattern is formed on the recording paper 18.
