Abstract

PURPOSE:To speed up recording as well as decrease the ink consumption in an ink- jet system ink jetting apparatus by connecting an ink replenishing nozzle to the jet nozzle and providing an air injecting port coaxially with the jet nozzle. CONSTITUTION:In the ink jetting apparatus which records on a recording body by flying ink particles, the printing head is provided with a jet nozzle 2, an air injecting port 4 provided coaxially with the jet nozzle 2 and an ink replenishing port 3 provided in the direction crossing the jet nozzle 2, and moreover provided is a means to intermittently inject air A into the air injecting port 4. Then, ink is fed under pressure by such means as a pump so as to form a convex meniscus in the vicinity of the outlet of the ink replenishing nozzle 3. Under said condition, the air A is injected into the air injecting port 4 so that the air flow causes the meniscoid ink to jet out from the jet nozzle 2 as an ink droplet 6 to perform recording.
