Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate unwanted threading and seepage of ink on a recording paper by cancelling such hurmful air flows as blowing away ink yet to dry on the paper with a cancelling nozzle among those injected from an ink injection nozzle. CONSTITUTION:A hurmful air flow cancelling nozzle 19 is provided near a head 3 and adhead in the advancing direction relative to a drum 1 and connected to an air pump 18 by way of an air tube 20 and air pressure adjusting valves 21 and 17. A part of air flow injected from the nozzle runs in the direction of the drum turns as indicated by the arrow (e) to cancel air flows running in the direction of the arrow (b) injected from an ink injection nozzle 11. This prevents ink particles 22 from being blown away in the direction of the arrow (d).
