Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a pressure type ink jetting head which employs the bias pressure method, thereby minimizing the electrically biased vibrator for injection and hence the head construction and further increasing both the integration per unit area and the total integration. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of bias pressure chambers 9, 9 and a plurality of injection pressure chambers 13, 13 each connected to each of the chambers 9, 9 and having a nozzle 16 are provided. A bias vibrating plate 8 is driven to bias press the ink until it substantially forms ink drops. A bias signal is applied to the electrically biased vibrator for injection, 10, intermittenlly and synchronously with the duplicated frequency during its multiplication. When injection signal begins to increase, the bias pressure is added with the injection pressure to inject ink drops 12. The pressure amplitude for injection can be minimized and the integration per unit area can be enhanced. The zigzag arrangement of the pressure chambers results in a high integration of the head.
