Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet head which is capable of having nozzles easily arranged, of being manufactured with simplicity and of easily equalizing jetting characteristics at all the nozzles, by utilizing an electric distortion oscillator itself as an ink conducting tube and thereby giving direct exciting oscillation to ink in the nozzles. CONSTITUTION:Penetrating holes 7i are provided coaxially with many non-penetrating holes 6i bored on a box-like base board 1a of an ink chamber 1 supplying ink through a pipe 5, and an electric distortion oscillators 2i, etc. are inserted into the holes and securely fixed. A nozzle plate 3 is also provided with holes 8i and 9i in the same manner, and the oscillators 2i are inserted and fixed. All the oscillators are penetrating holes on a print electrode base board 4, and the base board 4 is joined to surface of the base board 1a, and inside surface and outside surface of each oscillator are provided with respective electrodes 11i and 12i in layers, and the electrodes 12i are connected to respective print electrodes of the base board 4. By exciting oscillation of all the electric distortion oscillators, distortions are repetitively applied to the nozzle plate 4 and the electric distortion oscillators.
