Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconducting material, having a perovskite structure consisting of a specific composition and capable of exhibiting the superconducting transition temperature of >=150 K. CONSTITUTION:An oxide superconducting material having a perovskite crystal structure expressed by the general formula (LxA1-x)iMOy (x is 0<=x<1; i is 1, 3/2 or 2; is 0<y<=3 when i is 1 and 0<y<=4 when i is 3/2 or 2). In the formula, the element L is at least one element selected from the group of Sc, Y, lanthanoid elements and group Ia elements and the element A is at least one element selected from the group of alkaline earth metallic elements, such as Ba, Sr or Ca. The element M is positioned at the central part of an octahedral crystal structure formed from oxygens (O) and vacancies thereof and at least one element selected from the group of V, Nb and Ta which are group Va elements or Ti, Zr and Hf which are group IVa elements is used alone or together with Cu.
