Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce an excellent perovskite-type superconductor having high superconducting transition temperature, by using a group Ia metallic element, a group IIa element, a group IVa element and oxygen as main components. CONSTITUTION:The objective oxide superconducting material is composed mainly of (1) the 1st element L selected from group Ia metallic element (Li, Na or K) and group IIIa element (Sc, Y or La), (2) the 2nd element A selected from group IIa element (Ba, Sr or Ca), (3) the 3rd element M selected from group IVa element (Ti, Zr or Hf) and group Va element (V, Nb or Ta) and (4) oxygen and expressed by chemical formula (LxA1-x)iMOy wherein x is 0<x<1, i is 1, 3/2 or 2 and y is 0<y<=3 when i=1 and 0<y<=4 when i=3/2 or 2. The sum of the valence of the 1st element L (x) and the sum of the valence of oxygen (y) preferably satisfy the relationship ¦x¦=¦y¦+ or -0.5. Preferably a bivalent state is included in the takable valance of the 3rd element M. A superconductor having a superconducting transition temperature of about >=150 deg.K can be produced by this process.
