Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus utilizing superconductivity and workable without cooling a superconducting material to a liquid nitrogen temperature level, by using a superconducting material having a specific composition. CONSTITUTION:An oxide superconducting material having a perovskite crystal structure of the following composition is used in the present apparatus utilizing superconductivity. The superconducting material is expressed by general formula of (LxA1-x)iMOy [0<x<1; i is 1, 3/2 or 2; 0<y<=3 when i is 1 and 0<y<=4 when i is 3/2 or 2; L is at least one kind of element selected from lanthanoid element such as Sc, Y or La or a group Ia metal element of the periodic table such as Li; A is at least one kind of element selected from alkaline-earth metal element such as Ba, Sr or Ca; M is at least one kind of element selected from V, Nb and Ta (group Va element) or Ti, Zr and Hf (group IVa element) positioned at the center of an octahedral crystal structure formed by oxygen O and oxygen vacancies.
