Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce the material for a bolt having excellent relaxation characteristics by subjecting the bar or wire rod of a precipitation reinforcing austenite alloy to a solution heat treatment and thereafter cold working the same. CONSTITUTION:The bar or wire rod constituted of the precipitation reinforcing austenitic alloy is subjected to the solution heat treatment and is successively cold worked at about 6-18% to form the material for a high temp. bolt. As said alloy, the compsn. consisting of, by weight, <=0.1% C, <=0.5% Si, <=2.0% Mn, 15.0-30% Ni, 10.0-18.0% Cr, 0.20-0.50% Al and 2.00-3.00% Ti, furthermore consisting of one or two kinds between <=0.02% B and <=0.02% Zr and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is preferable. By this method, the relaxation characteristics are improved and the capacity of a bolt used in a high temp. can be improved.
