Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the accelerating ability of an engine by providing a communicating part between an intake passage and a voluminous part on a downstream side of a supercharger with a closing valve, and closing the closing valve at the time of accelerating the engine. CONSTITUTION:A communicating part 17 between an intake passage 11 and a voluminous part 18 on a downstream side of a supercharger 14 is provided with a closing valve 19, which is controlled to close within a fixed low speed range. A control circuit 31 detects an accelerated state of an engine to control the closing valve 19 to close at the time of accelerating the engine. Since the volume of an intake system on the downstream side of the supercharger is thereby reduced, supercharging pressure can rise quickly to improve the accelerating ability of the engine.
