Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) この発明は、特許請求の範囲第1項前提部分に記載の方
法、および第8項前提部分に記載の装置に関する。
(従来の技術・発明が解決しようとする問題点)この種
の装置が米国特許明細書第5588017号によシ周知
である。しかしこの装置で製造されたチューブ体は溶接
継ぎ目の外側合わせ部に未溶接箇所があシ、この部分が
剥離し裂は易くされあることが判明した。内部に剥離し
た材料片が被包装物に混入してこれを許容できない程に
汚してしまうことがある。
本発明は、剥離し易い箇所を、溶接中に溶接継ぎ目から
押し出された材料で形成するとの考えから生まれた。押
し出された材料の外側合わせ部はごく薄いので早く冷え
、それゆえ隣接した材料と溶接されることがない。
そこで本発明は、溶接継ぎ目に、押し出された材料から
なる未溶接合わせ部など生じない冒頭述べた種類の方法
および装置を提供することを目的とする。
(問題点を解決するための手段) この課題は、本発明によれば、特許請求の範囲第1項お
よび第8項の特徴部分に明示した特徴により解決される
(作用・効果) 被溶接継ぎ目に隣接した内テープに設けである長手溝が
溶接継ぎ目に特定の形状を付与する一方、材料の張出し
縁を防止する。溶接継ぎ目がち密に保たれることKより
帯状フィルムの重ね合わせた合わせ部は均一に加熱され
、早く冷やされる材料箇所など生じない。長手溝が内テ
ープに設けであることにより溶接継ぎ目が内方に移動し
、製造されたチューブ体は外面が実質的に平らになる。
本発明による解決法の利点として更に、内層のみが完成
した包装チー−ブの中身と接触する積層帯状フィルムの
場合に、帯状フィルムの内側合わせ部の縁が横断面を斜
めに切断され、内層が帯状フィルムの残りの層から張り
出しても内層は溶接継ぎ目で連続して接合される。内テ
ープの長手溝により、張p出した合わせ部範囲は残りの
層を覆って反対側の合わせ部範囲の内j*に1で押し下
げられる。
本発明による解決法の成果は高級包装チューブの申し分
のない溶接継ぎ目にある。
特許請求の範囲第2〜4項および第9〜10項に記載の
好ましい実施態様は、積層帯状フィルムの1層を金属層
、好ましくはアルミニウム層とし、それを誘導加熱して
隣接合成樹脂層を溶接温度にすると有利である。
特許請求の範囲第5〜7項および第10.1層項に記載
の好ましい実施態様は、帯状フィルムを加工する際金属
層が含まれていない点で有利であり、または高周波エネ
ルギーにより十分に溶接熱を発生するため金属層がごく
薄い点で有利である。この場合、回転駆動され溶接用具
として役立つテープからの溶接熱の伝達は帯状フィルム
との接触によって行われる。
溶接用具として役立つテープは主に鋼製である。これを
高周波エネルギーで加熱してもその他の部分が一緒に加
熱されることがない点で格別有利である。このテープは
主に質量が少ないので所要の温度に早く加熱できるだけ
でなく迅速に冷やすこともでき、作業速度を高めて経済
性を向上することができる。
特許請求の範囲第12項に記載の好ましい実施態様によ
シ作業速度は更に高めることができる。
(実施例) 図面に基づいて本発明の実施例を詳しく説明する。
第1図に概略水した装置に、帯状フィルム10が図示省
略した供給ロールから捲出して供給される。この積層帯
状フィルムは少くとも2層の熱可塑性樹脂層間に挾まれ
たアルミニウム層を1層有する。チューブ内側を向く合
成樹脂層は供給特上向きにされる。装置内で帯状フィル
ムをその長手方向に延びた軸を中心に連続的に巻いて合
わせ部が重なり合ったチューブとされ、合わせ部は熱の
作用で互いに溶接される。フィルム進路の下に配設され
回転駆動されるベル)・12が帯状フィルムを巻くのに
利用される。ベルト12に静置された帯状フィルム?、
ベルト12よシ上で長手方向に延びた心棒64に巻き付
けるため、ベルト12は案内要素14によ9両合わせ部
が徐々に上方に湾曲される。
帯状フィルム10は互いに平行に両縁が重なり合い、そ
の合わせ部が内テープ16と外テープ18との間で互い
に加圧される。両テープ16.18はプレス用具として
利用される。内テープ16は、前記心棒34に沿って、
形成しようとするチューブの内部を転向ロール201で
延び、形成されたチューブ内部を通って戻される。
内テープ16は案内ロール22を介しチューブ形成範囲
24に達する前にその案内進路内で装置26により誘導
予熱することができる。しかしこの予熱は必ず必要なも
のではない。というのもチューブ形成範囲24内に配設
された溶接装置28が溶接熱を発生し、帯状フィルムに
挾まれたアルミ箔を高周波エネルギーにより誘導加熱す
るからである。この加熱は高周波エネルギーの配分によ
シ帯状フィルムの熱可塑性樹脂層が溶接に適した温度に
加熱されるよう行われる。溶接中および溶接後、形成さ
れたチーーブの重なり合った合わせ部は回転駆動される
テープ16’ 、 18で互いに加圧される。溶接後、
形成された溶接継ぎ目は回転駆動されるエンドレス冷却
テープ30により、内テープ16との接触圧力を維持し
て冷やされる。この冷却を活発に行うことにより作業速
度が高まる。チューブ体は長手面が溶接され、図示した
切断装置で切断され、符号32の方向へ移動しチューブ
ヘッドを取り付は密閉キャップ全装着して完成品とする
ため上記装置を離れる。
チューブ形成範囲24で内テープ16を前記心n64に
沿って転向ロール20まで案内しかつ戻す様子が第2図
に見られる。テープのキャリヤ側16′が心棒64に接
触し、リターン側16は心棒34に配設された長手婢3
6内を通って戻される。製造されだチーーブ38は破線
で示しである。
第5図は帯状フィルムがベルト12により巻かれてすで
にチューブ68とされた部分におけるチューブ形成範囲
24を横断面で示す。内テープ16のキャリヤ側16′
が心棒34上を案内される一方、リターン側16“が溝
36内を通って戻される様子をこの図からはっきり読み
取ることができる。外テープ18は弾性配設された溶接
装置28により、形成されたチーーブ38の重なり合っ
た合わせ部に押圧される。
第4図は、チューブ形成範囲24の細部を示す。内テー
プ16がチューブ38のシーム内向き面を形成するのに
役立つ長手溝40を有することがこの図かられかる。こ
の長手溝40は、シームに特定の形状を付与する一方、
溶接中に溶融した材料の流出を制限することにより、互
いに加圧時、重なり合った合わせ部42.44がでたら
めに拡がるのを防止する。材料は熱可塑性樹脂、特にポ
リエチレン、ポリプロピレンまたはそれらの共重合体で
ある。これらの溶接用合成樹脂はチューブ38を形成し
た帯状フィルムの外層となる。合成樹脂層間に挾1れた
アルミニウム層の外、帯状フィルムは更に別の層、例え
ば紙層およびアルミ箔用接着層を含むことができる。
金属層を挾むことなく、またはごく薄い金属層を有する
帯状フィルムからチューブ体を製造する装置の1実施態
様でtま、回転駆動され溶接用具として役立つ2本のテ
ープ1118が高周波エネルギーにより所要の溶接温度
に誘導加熱される。この加熱はチューブ形成範囲24 
(第2図)の前、または外テープ18の場合この範囲内
でも、適宜に配設した加熱装置により行うことができる
。こうした場合装置26は内テープ16の予熱に利用す
るのでなく溶接に必要な温度にこのテープを完全に加熱
するのに利用される。装置のかかる実施態様では外テー
プ18の加熱をチューブ形成範囲24 (第2図)の前
またはこの範囲内で溶接装置28により行うことができ
る。
回転駆動されるテープ16.18はそれを高周波エネル
ギーによシ誘導加熱するかぎシ主に鋼製である。しかし
溶接熱を専ら装置28により帯状フィルムのアルミニウ
ム層内で直接発生する場合、加圧用具として利用するテ
ープ16゜18は例えばポリテトラフルオロエチレンカ
ラ構成することもできる。この場合装置26は不要とな
る。
誘導加熱に利用する装置26.28は主に、被加熱範囲
に集中して電気エネルギーを発生する高周波加熱コイル
を有する。この高周波加熱コイルには周知構成の高周波
発電機から給電する。
金属層、特にアルミニウム層を1層有する上記種類の積
層フィルムは周知である。以上説明した装置はしかし、
単に単一の熱可塑性樹脂層からなる帯状フィルムの加工
にも適している。
(発明の効果) 本発明は、積層帯状フィルムの両級を重ね合わせてチュ
ーブ体を形成し、この合わせ部をフィルムの長手方向に
回転駆動される2本のテープで加圧し、しかもこのテー
プのうち内テープに長手溝を備えており、 これにより、チーーブ体の内向きシーム範囲を成形する
一方で溶接待液化した合成樹脂材料が加圧により拡がる
のを防ぐとともに、液状材料の押し出された合わせ部分
が早く冷えて対向する材料mと結合されないという欠点
をなくすので、未溶接個所のない確実な溶接継ぎ目を生
じさせることができる。

Claims (1)

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 1)溶接用合成樹脂からなる内面および外面と互いに平
    行な縁とを有する帯状フィルム(10)をその長手方向
    に延びた軸を中心に巻いて合わせ部(42)、(44)
    が縁に沿って重なり合ったチューブ(38)とし、両合
    わせ部を、熱を加えて互いに溶接し、かつ長手方向に回
    転駆動される2本のエンドレステープ(16)、(18
    )間で互いに加圧する、帯状フィルムから包装チューブ
    用のチューブ体を製造する方法において、 2本のテープ(16)、(18)のうち形成したチュー
    ブ(38)内部を走行する内テープ(16)に長手溝(
    40)を設け、形成したチューブ(38)の周辺範囲の
    うち合わせ部(42)、(44)の縁を抱持する部分を
    、溶接熱の供給後、互いに加圧する間少くとも部分的に
    前記長手溝に押し込むことを特徴とする方法。 2)帯状フィルム(10)が複数の層を有し、そのうち
    挾まれた層の一つが金属層であるものにおいて、重ね合
    わせた両合わせ部(42)、(44)の金属層を高周波
    エネルギーにより誘導加熱することを特徴とする特許請
    求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 3)内テープ(16)を予熱することを特徴とする特許
    請求の範囲第2項に記載の方法。 4)内テープ(16)として金属テープを利用し、それ
    を、形成するチューブ(38)と接触させる前に高周波
    エネルギーにより誘導予熱することを特徴とする特許請
    求の範囲第3項に記載の方法。 5)被駆動テープ(16)、(18)として金属テープ
    を利用し、それを高周波エネルギーにより溶接に必要な
    温度に誘導加熱することを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第
    1項に記載の方法。 6)両テープ(16)、(18)を、形成するチューブ
    (38)と接触させる前に加熱することを特徴とする特
    許請求の範囲第5項に記載の方法。 7)外テープ(18)の加熱を専らまたは付加的に溶接
    範囲内で行うことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第5項ま
    たは第6項に記載の方法。 8)内面と外面と互いに平行な縁とを有する帯状フィル
    ム(10)を、合わせ部(42)、(44)が縁に沿っ
    て重なり合ったチューブ(38)を形成するためその長
    手方向に延びた軸を中心に連続的に巻付ける手段(12
    )、(14)と、重ね合わせた合わせ部(42)、(4
    4)を溶接するのに利用する溶接熱を発生する手段(2
    6)、(28)と、長手方向に回転駆動され、重ね合わ
    せた合わせ部(42)、(44)を互いに加圧するため
    の2本のテープ(16)、(18)とを備え、帯状フィ
    ルム(10)から包装チューブ用のチューブ体を製造す
    る装置において、形成するチューブ(38)内部を走行
    する内テープ(16)が、形成するチューブ(38)の
    重ね合わせた合わせ部(42)、(44)を少くとも部
    分的に受容する長手溝(40)を有することを特徴とす
    る装置。 9)溶接熱発生手段が、形成するチューブ(38)の重
    ね合わせた合わせ部(42)、(44)の進路に向けら
    れた高周波エネルギー発生装置(28)を有することを
    特徴とする特許請求の範囲第8項に記載の装置。 10)少くとも内テープ(16)が鋼製であり、チュー
    ブ形成範囲(24)の外では、高周波エネルギーにより
    内テープ(16)を誘導予熱しまたは専ら誘導加熱する
    手段(26)が内テープ(16)の方を向いていること
    を特徴とする特許請求の範囲第8項または第9項に記載
    の装置。 11)外テープ(18)が鋼製であり、高周波エネルギ
    ーにより外テープ(18)を専ら誘導加熱する手段(2
    8)がチューブ形成範囲(24)の前かまたは溶接範囲
    のいずれかでは外テープ(18)の方を向いていること
    を特徴とする特許請求の範囲第10項に記載の装置。 12)形成したチューブ(38)の走行方向に見て外テ
