Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 操向車輪に連結されたラツク軸をギアケースに
    摺動自在に支持し、該ギアケース内で前記ラツク
    軸に形成されたラツク歯を操向ハンドルに連結し
    たピニオンと噛合させるとともに、前記ラツク軸
    の周囲に操舵補助力を発生する電動機および該電
    動機と前記ラツク軸とを動力伝達可能に連結する
    伝達機構をラツク軸の軸方向に配設し、前記電動
    機が発生する操舵補助力を操向ハンドルへ加えら
    れる手動操舵力とともに前記ラツク軸から操向車
    輪へ伝達するラツクアンドピニオン式の電動パワ
    ーステアリング装置において、 前記ラツク軸に前記伝達機構との係合部と前記
    ラツク歯との間で前記ギアケース側の部材と摺接
    するシール部材を設け、該シール部材により前記
    ギアケース内の前記伝達機構が配置された空間と
    前記ラツク歯が位置した空間とを隔絶したことを
    特徴とするラツクアンドピニオン式の電動パワー
    ステアリング装置。
