Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、管の外面に帯状の樹脂シートを巻き
付ける、管の被覆装置に関する。
従来、管の外面に帯状の樹脂シートを巻き付け
る際には、たとえば特開昭50−3173号公報および
特開昭50−3174号公報に示されるように、樹脂シ
ートを管の外面に圧着する必要がある。このうち
特開昭50−3173号公報では弾性圧着ロールを用い
て圧着を行なつており、また特開昭50−3174号公
報では管軸方向のスリツトを有する気体噴射ノズ
ルから圧縮気体を噴出している。しかし、いずれ
の場合であつても、樹脂シートの一方側端から他
方側端にわたつて均等な圧着力を発生させている
ため、樹脂シートと管の外面との間の空気が逃げ
にくく、気泡が残り易いという問題点を有してい
る。
そこで本発明は、樹脂シートを管の外面に圧着
するに際し、この樹脂シートと管の外面との間の
空気を確実に逃がして、気泡の発生を防止するこ
とを目的とするものである。
このため本発明は、樹脂シートをその巻き掛り
部の近傍において管の外側に圧着させる空気噴出
ノズルを設け、この空気噴出ノズルが、空気管の
側部に連通して接続される箱体にて構成されると
ともに、その内部が前記樹脂シートの幅方向に複
数のチヤンバに仕切られて、各チヤンバごとに噴
出口を有し、かつ各噴出口ごとの噴出圧力を調節
可能なダンパを各チヤンバごとに有している構成
としたものである。
したがつて、各ダンパにて空気管からの空気を
適当に減圧し、各チヤンバの噴出口の噴出圧力を
調節して、管の樹脂シート既巻側から樹脂シート
未巻側に向けて漸次圧力が減少する空気を噴出す
ることにより、樹脂シート既巻側における樹脂シ
ートの側端が強い力で圧着されるとともに、樹脂
シート未巻側の側端に向かうにつれて圧着力を弱
くすることができるため、樹脂シートと管の外面
との間の空気は上記樹脂シート未巻側の側端から
追い出されることになつて確実に排出され、もつ
て気泡の発生を防止することができ、しかも樹脂
シート未巻側の側端から空気を追い出すものであ
るため、既巻樹脂シートとの重ね巻きが行われる
樹脂シート既巻側を空気が通過することがなく、
この重ね巻き部を確実に密着させてシールさせる
ことができるものである。
以下、本発明の一実施例を図面にもとづいて説
明する。第1図〜第2図において、1は周方向に
回転しながら長手方向に移動する管であり、この
管1の近傍には、帯状の樹脂シート2を連続して
押出する押出機3が配設されている。すなわち、
押出機3からの樹脂シート2を、上記管1の運動
にもとづいて、この管1の外面にらせん状に巻き
付けるものである。
樹脂シート2の巻き掛かり部4近傍、すなわち
樹脂シート2が管1への巻付接触を始める部分の
近傍には、樹脂シート2の幅よりもやや大きめの
噴出幅を有して、この樹脂シート2に近接した位
置からこの樹脂シート2に向けて空気を噴出する
空気噴出ノズル5が、管1と平行な方向に配置さ
れている。この空気噴出ノズル5は、第3図で矢
印に示すように、管1の樹脂シート既巻側6から
樹脂シート未巻側7に向けて、漸次噴出圧力が減
少するように構成されている。
第4図は空気噴出ノズル5を詳細に説明するも
のである。すなわち、この空気噴出ノズル5は空
気管8の側部に連通して接続された箱体にて構成
されており、その内部は複数のチヤンバ9に仕切
られている。各チヤンバ9にはダンパ10が各別
に設けられており、このダンパ10の作用によつ
て、空気管8からの空気を適当に減圧して、噴出
口11ごとの噴出圧力を調節するものである。こ
れにより、前述のように、管1の樹脂シート既巻
側6から樹脂シート未巻側7に向けて、漸次噴出
圧力を減少させることが可能となる。
作用を説明する。第2図に示すように、管1を
周方向に回動させながら長手方向に移動させ、押
出機3から加熱状態の樹脂シート2を連続的に押
出させて、管1に巻き付ける。この巻き付けは、
第3図に示すように樹脂シート2の一部が相互に
重なるようにして、らせん状に施すようにする。
空気噴出ノズル5を動作させると、第3図に示す
ように樹脂シート既巻側6における樹脂シート2
の側部12側、すなわち上記のように相互に重な
つた部分側に高圧の空気が噴出され、この部分が
強く圧着される。これに対し樹脂シート未巻側7
の側部13側へ噴出される空気は比較的低圧であ
るため、樹脂シート2と管1の外面との間に介在
する空気14は、上記噴出空気が樹脂シート2を
押す力によつてこの側部13側から追い出される
ことになる。空気14が追い出された後は、噴出
空気により樹脂シート2が管1の外面に圧着さ
れ、この部分の被覆が完了する。
なお、圧着をより確実なものとするため、第1
図の仮想線に示すような圧着ローラ15を、空気
噴出ノズル5の後方に設けてもよい。また樹脂シ
ート2は被覆層からなる単層のものであつてもよ
いし、被覆層と接着層とからなる二層のものであ
つてもよく、さらに三層以上のものであつてもよ
い。
以上述べたように本発明によると、各ダンパに
て空気管からの空気を適当に減圧し、各チヤンバ
の噴出口の噴出圧力を調節して、管の樹脂シート
既巻側から樹脂シート未巻側に向けて漸次圧力が
減少する空気を噴出することにより、樹脂シート
既巻側における樹脂シートの側端が強い力で圧着
されるとともに、樹脂シート未巻側の側端に向か
うにつれて圧着力を弱くすることができるため、
樹脂シートと管の外面との間の空気は上記樹脂シ
ート未巻側の側端から追い出されることになつて
確実に排出され、もつて気泡の発生を防止するこ
とができ、しかも樹脂シート未巻側の側端から空
気を追い出すものであるため、既巻樹脂シートと
の重ね巻きが行われる樹脂シート既巻側を空気が
通過することがなく、この重ね巻き部を確実に密
着させてシールさせることができる。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 押出機から連続的に押出される帯状の樹脂シ
    ートを管の外面にらせん状に巻き付ける管の被覆
    装置であつて、前記樹脂シートをその巻き掛り部
    の近傍において管の外側に圧着させる空気噴出ノ
    ズルを設け、この空気噴出ノズルは、空気管の側
    部に連通して接続される箱体にて構成されるとと
    もに、その内部が前記樹脂シートの幅方向に複数
    のチヤンバに仕切られて、各チヤンバごとに噴出
    口を有し、かつ各噴出口ごとの噴出圧力を調節可
    能なダンパを各チヤンバごとに有していることを
    特徴とする管の被覆装置。
