Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔発明の目的〕 （産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は自動車用サイドブロチクチイブモールに関する
ものである。
（従来の技術） 従来の装飾モールは特開昭６０−１７６７３０号公報に
示されるものが゛知られている。これは押出し成形等に
より形成された樹脂製の基体上に熱硬化性樹脂を流延し
、硬化させた装飾モールであった。
（発明が解決しようとする問題点） しかし、上記した構成の装飾モールであると薄暗い所に
おいては反射する光の量が少ないため見栄えが悪いとい
う欠点があった。
故に本発明は暗い場所においても装飾性に優れた装飾モ
ールを提供することを技術的課題とするものである。
〔発明の構成〕
（問題点を解決するための手段） 上記技術的課題を解決するために本発明において講じた
技術的手段はモール本体を高屈折率の透明樹脂内に蛍光
発光体を分散させた集光樹脂で成形し、両端を切放しと
したことである。
（作用） 上記技術的手段は次のように作用する。装飾モールに反
射光が入ると蛍光発光体がこの反射光を吸収しモール本
体内で放射する。放射された光は側面の全反射により両
端部に集められ、端部より外部に放射す、る。これによ
り両端部は他の部分より明る（なるため、薄暗い所にお
いても優れた装飾性を得ることができる。
（実施例） 本発明の実施例を添付図面に基づいて説明する。
第２図に示されるように装飾モール１はアクリル、ポリ
カー等の高屈折率の透明樹脂内に蛍光発光体を分散させ
た集光樹脂により成形したモール本体２から構成されて
いる。
このモール本体２の両端３は両側面４に対して略垂直と
なるように切放しのままでエツジ状になっており、両側
面４は端末処理によりＲ状になっている。又、裏面の両
側面４側には夫々、塗装。
テープ等により取付材隠蔽層５が形成されている。
この取付材隠蔽層５に両面テープ６を貼付け、この両面
テープ６により上記した装飾モール１は第１図に示され
るように自動車７のサイドボデー８に取付けられる。
次に本発明における装飾モール１の作用について説明す
る。
第２図においてモール本体２に入る光は蛍光発光体によ
り吸収され、モール本体２内に放射される。この放射さ
れた光は両側面４に対する入射角の関係により全反射さ
れ両端３に集まる。この両端３に集まった光はすべて外
部に放射されるため両端３は他の部分より明るくなる。
これにより、透明樹脂の深みのある美しさとともに薄暗
い所においても優れた装飾性を得ることができる。尚、
両側面４での光の反射は集光樹脂の屈折率より小さいも
ののみが全反射し、両端４に集まる。この両端３に集ま
った光は集光樹脂全反射の臨界角度より大きくなるため
光は外部へ放射される。
第３図及び第４図は本発明の他の実施例を示す図である
。
第３図に示されるようにモール本体２の両側面４には不
透明樹脂９が接着されている。これにより明るい所にお
いても、不透明樹脂９とモール本体２の輝きのちがいに
より装飾性をさらに向上させることができる。又、不透
明樹脂９に着色することによりより装飾性を向上させる
ことができる。
更に、装飾モール１を自動車７のサイドボデー８に取付
ける時、両面テープ６を不透明樹脂９の裏面に貼付ける
ことにより、取付材隠蔽Ｎ５を形成しなくても装飾モー
ル１の表面ばから見えないようにすることができる。
第４図に示されるようにモール本体２の裏面にモール本
体２の長手方向に沿って溝１０を設けることにより、モ
ール本体２の両端３だけでなく表面も溝１０に沿って光
らせることができる。これにより装飾モール１の装飾性
をさらに向上させることができる。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明はモール本体を高屈折率の透明樹脂内に蛍光発光
体を分散させた集光樹脂で成形し、両端を切放しとして
装飾モールを構成したので薄暗い所においても、モール
本体が光るため優れた装飾性を得ることができる。これ
により、自動車に本発明のモールを用いた場合、薄暗い
所に自動車を駐停車させておいても自動車に付いたモー
ルが視認されやすいため、他の車に衝突される危険性を
未然に防ぐことができる。
