Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、自動車等の乗り物のメータの構造に関する。
〔従来技術〕
従来のメータとしては、第３図及び第４図（実開昭６０
−３７８２０号公報参照）に示すように、メータは、不
透明で、表面３ａに文字１、記号２などが刻設された文
字板３と、該文字板３の貫通穴４に挿入された軸５によ
り支持された指針６と、前記文字板３の裏面３ｂに配さ
れ、且つ前記指針６に臨むように突出して配設された感
光板７と、該導光板７の端部７ａに光を当てる光源体８
とよりなる。
前記指針６は、透光材よりなり前記文字板３の文字１、
記号２を、指し示す本体９と、前記本体９内に導かれた
光りを文字板３と反対の方向に反射可能なる例えば螢光
塗料よりなる反射部１０とよりなる。
〔本発明の解決しようとする問題点〕
しかしながら、かかる従来技術によれば、指針６のみが
光って見え、文字板３の文字１、記号２等は夜など見え
ないことになり、別の照明手段を必要としている。又、
指針６や文字板３が共に明るいと、サイドウィンド（図
示省略）等に反射して側方視界が悪化するため、その改
善が望まれている。
そこで、本発明は、かかる従来の問題点に鑑み、文字板
の文字や記号が専用の照明手段無しでも夜見えるように
すると共に側方視界の向上を図ることを目的としている
。
〔本発明の構成〕
本発明はかかる目的を達するために、不透明で、表面に
文字、記号などの配設された文字板と、該文字板の貫通
穴に挿入された軸により支持された指針と、前記文字板
の裏面に配され、且つ前記指針に臨むように突出して配
設された導光板と、該導光板の端部に光を当てる光源体
とよりなるメータにおいて、前記指針は、透光材よりな
り前記文字板側に配された本体と、該本体の文字板と反
対側の面に配され且つ前記光源体よりの光を前記文字板
に反射可能なる反射部とより構成したことを特徴とする
メータを提供する。
〔実施例〕
以下第１図及び第２図を参照して本発明の一実施例を第
３図及び第４図に示したのと同一構成については、同一
符号を付し説明すると、２０は指針で、透光材よりなり
、前記文字板３の文字１、記号２を指し示す本体２１と
、前記本体２１内に導かれた光りを前記文字板３に向け
て反射可能なるように、前記本体２１の文字板３と反対
側の面に配された反射部２２、例えば塗装された不透過
の反射塗料とよりなる。
次に作用を説明する。
光源体８より出た光りは、導光板７に導かれて、指針２
０の根元に集光する。この光りは、指針２０内に導かれ
、反射部２２により文字板３の表面３ａへ放出される。
放出された光りは、文字板３の表面３ａで反射され、指
針２０は影、指針２０の周りの文字板３の表面３ａ上は
明となり、恰も影絵のように指針２０が見えるばかりで
なく、指針２０によって文字板３の表面３ａの文字１、
記号２が照らされるので、光源体８以外の光源が無くと
も夜に識別できることになる。更に、乗員に見える光は
所謂間接光であるため、サイドウィンドにまで達しにく
いことになる。
〔効　果〕
以上説明してきたように、この発明によれば、その構成
を、前記指針を、透光材よりなり前記文字板側に配され
た本体と、該本体の文字板と反対側の面に配され且つ前
記光源体よりの光を前記文字板に反射可能なる反射部と
より構成したため、文字板専用の照明手段を別に設けな
くて良いので、製造原価が低減できることになる。又、
サイドウィンド等に照明用の光が達しないので、側方視
界の向上が得られる。更に、影絵様のメータという自動
車の常識を変える新規なデザインとすることが出来る。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 不透明で、表面に文字、記号などの配設された文字板と
    、該文字板の貫通穴に挿入された軸により支持された指
    針と、前記文字板の裏面に配され、且つ前記指針に臨む
    ように突出して配設された導光板と、該導光板の端部に
    光を当てる光源体とよりなるメータにおいて、前記指針
    は、透光材よりなり前記文字板側に配された本体と、該
    本体の文字板と反対側の面に配され且つ前記光源体より
    の光を前記文字板に反射可能なる反射部とより構成した
    ことを特徴とするメータ。
