Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 この発明は、金属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムとの
熱融着装置に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来、金属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムとを貼合わ
せる方法としては押出し法或いはフイルム貼合わ
せ法などが知られているが、その何れにも高温融
着に伴う樹脂の酸化が生じたり、また金属帯材に
対する両面同時融着が不可能であるといつた欠点
を有する。
このため、金属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムとを高
周波誘導加熱によつて接着することにより、樹脂
の酸化防止を図ることが知られている(特開昭49
−115171号)。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
ところで、金属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムとを高
周波誘導加熱によつて接着する従来の装置は、金
属帯材の片面側のみに電磁誘導コイルを配置する
ものである。
しかしながら、電磁誘導コイルを金属帯材の片
面側にのみ配置した場合、磁束は主として金属帯
材と平行に流れるので、金属帯材内において渦電
流を均一に発生させるためには、金属帯材と電磁
誘導コイル間のギヤツプを厳密に調整する必要が
あり、実際には金属帯材が多少デコボコしている
ので、上記ギヤツプの調整は非常に困難であり、
金属帯材を均一に加熱することができなかつた。
そこで、この発明は、金属帯材間に渦電流が均
一に発生し易い構造の誘導加熱装置を提供するこ
とを目的とする。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
上記の問題点を解決するために、この発明は、
金属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムとの熱融着装置を次
のように構成したのである。
即ち、金属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムを重ね合わ
せた積層体の面に対して垂直の方向に磁束が透過
するように電磁誘導コイルを配置したのである。
〔作 用〕
上記の構成によれば、磁束が金属帯材面に対し
て垂直の方向に透過するので、渦電流が金属帯材
の全巾に亘つて流れ、金属帯材が均一に加熱さ
れ、金属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムが均一な接着力
で接着される。
〔実施例〕
以下、この発明の実施例を添付図面に基づいて
説明する。
Aは金属帯材、Bは合成樹脂フイルムであり、
その両面は相互の融着を完全にするために貼合面
をコロナ処理装置5,5′および6の通過によつ
てコロナ処理し、圧着ロール2によつて合成樹脂
フイルム−金属帯材−合成樹脂フイルムと積層さ
せる。
次いで積層体Cを誘導加熱装置1に送り、該装
置内で120〜170℃で通過時間約0.1〜1.0秒の瞬時
に金属帯材Aを加熱することにより合成樹脂フイ
ルムBと金属帯材Aとの界面で合成樹脂フイルム
Bが溶融し、金属帯材Aに融着する。
上記誘導加熱装置1は、上記積層体Cの面に対
して垂直の方向に磁束が透過する位置に電磁誘導
コイル10を配置したものである。
かくして金属帯材Aの両面に合成樹脂フイルム
Bが熱融着した積層体Cは、冷却ドラム4に送ら
れる前に、熱融着した合成樹脂フイルムBが冷却
ドラム4に接触して該ドラム4に融着することを
防止するために、冷却室3を通過させて冷却空気
で合成樹脂の融点以下まで予め冷却したのち、冷
却ドラム4、冷却ロール8によつてさらに冷却を
重ね巻取りロール9によつて積層製品として巻取
られるのである。
次に、この発明において使用される金属帯材A
としてはアルミニウム又はアルミニウム合金、
銅、スチールなどの板状、或いは箔が用いられ、
熱融着合成樹脂フイルムBとしてはポリエチレ
ン、ポリプロピレン、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリ塩化
ビニリデン、エチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合物、ポ
リエステル、ナイロンなどが適当である。
そして積層体Cの使用目的さらには金属帯材A
の種類に応じて適宜組合わせればよい。
また、金属帯材Aおよび合成樹脂フイルムBに
対するコロナ処理は両者の熱融着をより向上させ
るためのものであり、図面にては両者とも該処理
を施すものについて示したが、必ずしもこれに限
定されるものではなく、例えば金属帯材Aとして
軟質アルミニウム箔を用いる場合などはこの処理
を施こさずとも十分に合成樹脂フイルムBとの熱
融着性は得られるのである。
従つてこの処理も使用する金属帯材Aおよび合
成樹脂フイルムBの組合せに応じて適宜実施すれ
ば良い。上記にて金属帯材Aに対し合成樹脂フイ
ルムBを両面同時融着することについて詳述した
が、本発明の方法はこれに限らず片面融着にも適
用しうることは云うまでもない。
また、本発明は、従来のフイルム貼合わせ法に
おける予備加熱で金属帯材の片面に合成樹脂フイ
ルムを圧着したものに対する後加熱に代えて採用
することも出来る。
本発明で得られる積層製品はアルミニウム容
器、およびその蓋材、ケーブルシース用、各種食
品包装用など広い用途に対して非常に有用であ
る。
以下本発明を更に詳細に説明するために実施例
を示す。なおこの実施例は何ら本発明を限定する
ものではない。
実施例 1 軟質アルミニウム箔(50μ×500mm幅)と前処
理として軟質アルミニウム箔との融着面にコロナ
処理を施こせる低密度ポリエチレンフイルム(30
μ×510mm幅)を圧着ロール通過によつて積層し
たのち、これを60m/分の速度で発振出力
23.0KW(245.0V×93.9)、発振周波数1.8KHzの
誘導加熱装置内をアルミニウム箔の温度160℃に
て通過せしめてアルミニウム箔に樹脂フイルムを
融着させ、その後冷却室にて冷却空気を吹きつけ
て積層した樹脂表面温度を110℃附近まで下げた
のち冷却ドラム、冷却ロールを通し、アルミニウ
ム箔片面にポリエチレンフイルムを融着せる積層
製品を得た。
この積層製品には樹脂の酸化臭は殆んどなく、
ポリエチレンフイルムとアルミニウム箔との剥離
強度は420g/15mm幅(剥離速度200mm/min、T
−剥離)を示し、同じアルミニウム箔と低密度ポ
リエチレンフイルムによる従来の押出し法にて得
た積層品の剥離強度300〜320g/15mm幅に比し大
きな性能の向上が認められた。
実施例 2 両面をコロナ放電処理した軟質アルミニウム箔
(200μ×600mm幅)と、同様にしてアルミニウム
箔との貼合面をコロナ放電処理したエチレン−酢
酸ビニル共重合体のフイルムとを圧着ロールにて
積層したのち、これを45m/分の速度で発振出力
91.0KW(442.3×205.8)、発振周波数1.2KHz
の誘導加熱装置内をアルミニウム箔の温度160℃
にて通過せしめてアルミニウム箔の両面にフイル
ムを融着させ、次いで冷却室内で冷却空気にて積
層した樹脂フイルムの表面温度を140℃まで冷却
したのち冷却ドラム、冷却ロールを経てアルミニ
ウム箔の両面にエチレン−酢酸ビニル共重合体フ
イルムを融着せる積層製品を得た。
このもののフイルムとアルミニウム箔の剥離強
度は450〜500g/15mm幅(剥離速度200mm/
min、T−剥離)であつた。
〔効 果〕
この発明は、以上のように、磁束が金属帯材の
面に対して垂直の方向に透過するので、渦電流が
金属帯材の全巾方向に均一に発生する。
このため、金属帯材の片面側にのみ電磁誘導コ
イルを設けた従来の装置のように、金属帯材と電
磁誘導コイル間のギヤツプを厳密に調整する必要
がなく、容易に金属帯材を均一に加熱することが
でき、均一な接着力が得られるという効果があ
る。

0……電磁誘導コイル。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 金属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムを重ね合せた積
    層体の前面と背面の両面に電磁誘導コイルを配置
    し、当該電磁誘導コイルが上記積層体の面に対し
    て垂直の方向に磁束が透過する位置に対向する金
    属帯材と合成樹脂フイルムとの熱融着装置。
