この発明は重量物あるいは破損し易い物を床面等に置く
時、又は重積する時に使用する物品保護のだめの緩衝材
及びその製造方法に関するものである。

この発明は多数本の熱可塑性樹脂細管、例えば塩化ビニ
ル、ポリエチレン等の中空細管を棒状にひも等で結束あ
るいは適宜拘持部材で拘持し、その棒状に束ねた細管の
両端をバーナー火炎、電熱線、あるいは電熱板等で溶融
し切断した後、融断面の溶融部を水冷あるいは自然空冷
等により冷却固化することによシ、該軸管の端部で融着
することによシ、細管相互を連結結合し、多数の細管を
棒状に一体的に形成した緩衝材及び緩衝材の製造方法で
ある。

この発明は、上記のように構成したもので長い熱可塑性
樹脂細管の束を熱体により任意長さ毎単に融断するだけ
で棒状の一体構造の緩衝材を得ることができ、しかも多
数の樹脂の細管から成るだめ弾力性に′gみ、被緩衝物
品へのキズの発生が極めて少ないものと々る。

Claims (2)
- (1)多数本の熱可塑性樹脂細管を棒状に束ね、両端部
にて該細管相互を融着結合して成ることを特徴とする緩
衝材。 - (2)多数本の熱可塑性樹脂細管を棒状に束ねて保持す
る第1工程と、両端を熱体にて融断する第2工程、及び
該融断面を冷却し固化する第3工程の各工程とからなる
ことを特徴とする緩衝材の製造方法。
