Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は顕微鏡用液浸油に関し、詳しくは特に螢光顕微
鏡用の液浸油として好適な液浸油に関する。
〔従来の技術および発明が解決しようとする問題点〕顕
微鏡の倍率を高める方法の1つとして対物レンズの開口
数を大きくする液浸法がある。この場合に用いる液浸油
としてはグリセリン、シリコン油、ポリ塩化ビフェニル
(PCB )を主剤とするもの(以下、’ PCB油と
いう。)等が知られている。しかしながら、グリセリン
は吸湿性があシ屈折率も低く、シリコン油は高粘度であ
シ屈折率が低いという欠点がある。また、PCB油は人
体に有害であるという欠点がある。
本出願人は、上記欠点のない顕微鏡用液浸油として液状
ジエン系重合体に液状オレフィン重合体またはエステル
を配合した顕微鏡用液浸油(特願昭59−126392
)を開発したが、この液浸前は液浸前としての諸性能を
充分満足するものの、粘度がやや高く取扱い上に難点が
あった。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
そこで本発明者は、上記のような欠点がなく、しかも螢
光の発生も極力抑制された液浸前を開発すべく検討を重
ねた結果、液状ジエン系重合体と特定の化合物からなる
混合物が有効であることを見出し、かかる知見に基づい
て本発明を完成した。
すなわち本発明の第1は液状ジエン系重合体およびハロ
ゲン化パラフィンからなる顕微鏡用液浸油を提供するも
のであり、また第2は液状ジエン系重合体(a)、液状
オレフィン重合体またはエステル(b)およびハロゲン
化パラフィン(c)からなる顕微鏡用液浸油な提供する
ものである。
本発明に用いる液状ジエン系重合体としては液状ポリブ
タジェン、液状ポリイソプレン、液状ポリクロロプレン
などかあり、数平均分子量500〜20000、好まし
くけ1000〜15000のものが好適である。これら
液状ジエン系重合体は水酸基やカルボキシル基等の官能
基を有していてもよい。
次に、ハロゲン化パラフィンとしては種々のものが使用
できるが、特に塩素化パラフィンが好ましい。該塩素化
パラフィンとしては塩素含有量10〜80重量%、好ま
しくは20〜70重量乞酸価0.01〜0.50 KC

本発明の第1は上記の液状ジエン系重合体とハロゲン化
パラフィンを配合することにより得られる。これらの化
合物を配合するにあたっては、光の分散性、屈折率、粘
度などの性質が液浸前として適正なものとなるように配
慮すべきである。まず、アツベ数で示される光の分散性
については40〜58の範囲が適癌であシ、屈折率は1
.4〜1.6が適当である。さらに、粘度については2
0〜10000cst、(37,8°C)、好ましくは
100〜2000cst(37,8°C)とすべきであ
る。そのほか不乾性、低螢光性、耐候性、耐食性、透明
性。
解像力2色収差などが良好であることも液浸前に要求さ
れる性質である。
上記の要求性能を満足させるため、液状ジエン系重合体
100重量部に対し、ハロゲン化パラフィンを5〜95
重量部、好ましくは15〜70重量部配合する。
次に、第2の発明に用いる液状オレフィン重合体として
はポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、ポリブテンなどがあ
り、数平均分子量200〜10000、好ましくは30
0〜8000のものが好適である。また、エステルとし
ては各種のものが使用でき、たとえばメチルアセテート
、エチルアセテート、ジオクチルセバケート等の飽和あ
るいは不飽和カルボン酸エステル等が用いられる。
本発明の第2は前述の液状ジエン系重合体とハロゲン化
パラフィンに上記の液状オレフィン重合体または上記の
エステルを配合して得られる。
これらの化合物の配合は第1発明と同様に前述の顕微鏡
用液浸油の要求性能を満足させるため、液状ジエン系重
合体ioo重量部に対して上記液状オレフィン重合体重
たはエステルを3〜40重量部、好ましくは5〜20重
量部、およびハロゲン化パラフィン5〜50重量部、好
ましくは10〜30重量部配合する。
本発明の顕微鏡用液浸油な調製するには、上記成分を配
合し、10〜100°Cの温度で攪拌しながら十分に混
合すればよい。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明の液浸前は前記した要求性能のすべてを満足する
ものであり、人体に対する毒性もない。
また、従来の液浸前と比較して螢光の発生量が少ないの
で螢光顕微鏡用に適している。
さらに、本発明の液浸前は粘度の点においても適正なも
のであるため、取扱いが容易である。
したがって、本発明の液浸前は顕微鏡用液浸油として有
用である。
〔実施例〕
次に、本発明を実施例にて詳しく説明する。
実施例1〜5 第1表に示す各成分の所定量を配合し、室温で10゛分
間攪拌し混合して液浸油を得た。この液浸油について各
種性能の評価をした。結果を第1表に示す。
比較例1,2 液浸油としてPCB油(カーギル社製)(比較例1)ま
たはシリコン油(信越化学工業■製KF9.6H)(比
較例2・)・を用い、それぞれの性能を評価した。結果
を第1表に示す。
Qr また、通常の場合、螢光顕微鏡は光源として超高圧水銀
ランプなどを使用して螢光を励起させる紫外線を発する
。この場合に用いられる励起光としては波長の長さによ
りU励起、■励起、B励起。
Q励起があシ、各励起光において螢光の発生量が少ない
液浸油が望ましい。実施例1〜5および比較例1,2の
各励起光における螢光強度(相対強度)を第2表に示す

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)液状ジエン系重合体およびハロゲン化パラフィン
    からなる顕微鏡用液浸油。
  2. (2)液状ジエン系重合体が液状ポリブタジエン、液状
    ポリイソプレンおよび液状ポリクロロプレンのうちから
    選ばれたものである特許請求の範囲第1項記載の液浸油
  3. (3)液状ジエン系重合体(a)、液状オレフィン重合
    体またはエステル(b)およびハロゲン化パラフィン(
    c)からなる顕微鏡用液浸油。
  4. (4)液状ジエン系重合体が液状ポリブタジエン、液状
    ポリイソプレンおよび液状ポリクロロプレンのうちから
    選ばれたものである特許請求の範囲第3項記載の液浸油
  5. (5)液状オレフィン重合体がポリエチレン、ポリプロ
    ピレンおよびポリブテンのうちから選ばれたものである
    特許請求の範囲第3項記載の液浸油。
  6. (6)エステルがカルボン酸エステルである特許請求の
    範囲第3項記載の液浸油。
  7. (7)エステルがメチルアセテート、エチルアセテート
    およびジオクチルセバケートのいずれかである特許請求
    の範囲第3項記載の液浸油。
