Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分舒〕 本発明は、複数の熱可塑性合成樹脂成形物を迅速に且つ
強力に溶着する方法に関する。
〔関連技術とその問題点〕
一般に、複数の合成樹脂成形物を接続するにはモルタル
、接着剤等を用いた接着手段がとられている。しかし、
それは接続作業の能率面。
接続強度面並びに合成樹脂成形物の接続部に複雑な接続
構造を形成するための成形面等に問題を有しているとと
もに、接続作業がしにくい場合も多かった。
ところで、この問題を解決するものとして高周波加熱手
段を用いる事が考えられる。しかし、高周波誘電加熱を
行なった場合、温度分布が均一にならないため複数の合
成樹脂成形物の中部が加熱されて軟化しても表面部分が
硬くて溶着出来ないという問題があり、特に高周波誘電
加熱の場合、合成樹脂成形物を全体的に加熱するため局
部加熱により溶着を行うにはエネルギー損失が大である
〔発明の目的〕
本発明の目的とするところは、高周波加熱手段を用いて
上記問題を解消しながら合成樹脂成形物を溶着する方法
を提供することにある。
〔発明の概要〕
本発明の複数の合成樹脂成形物を溶着する方法は溶着す
べき複数の熱可塑性合成樹脂成形物間に金属体を設け、
この金属体を高周波誘導加熱により急速に加熱した後、
熱可塑性合成樹脂成形物同志を溶着するものである。
〔実施例〕
第1図において、1.2は溶着すべき複数の熱可塑性合
成樹脂成形物、3はその合成樹脂成形物1,2の溶着部
分Gこ介在したリング状の金属体、4は金属体加熱用の
高周波誘導コイルである。
しかして、複数の熱可塑性合成樹脂成形物1゜2の溶着
接合部分間にリング状金属体3を置き、その金属体3が
ほぼ中心軸線位置に在るように高周波誘導加熱コイル4
を設けて、この加熱コイル4に高周波大電流を短時間通
電する。すると、金属体3の表層部には金属体3の比抵
抗の平方根に比例し、かつ実効透磁率と印加周波数との
平方根に反比例した深さの加熱層が得られる。そこで表
層部が加熱された金属体3によって熱可塑性合成樹脂成
形物1,2の接合部が局部的に溶解し、この状態で少な
くとも一方の合成樹脂成形物1を加圧すると、極めて迅
速がっ強力に合成樹脂成形物1,2は第2図のように溶
着する。実験によると、加熱温度90〜120℃で数秒
間の後衝撃等に対して良好な溶着が出来た。その場合、
金属体3はFe分の多い金属が好ましく、第3図のよう
なプレートリング状のもの、第4図のようなパンチング
プレート状のもの等適宜選定してもよい。また、第5図
のように合成樹脂成形物1,2の少なくとも一方に溝等
の金属体3の位置決め部5を形成することが好ましい。
合成樹脂成形物1,2は同質材あるいは異質材でもよい
ことは勿論であり、少なくとも一方が長尺物であっても
溶着が可能である。金属体3を高周波誘導加熱によって
加熱すると、金属体3はその中心部は加熱されず、表層
部より非常に低温であるため溶着後直ちに冷却されるこ
とになり、溶着時間が短かく、合成樹脂成形物の形層れ
や寸法精度が防止される。
また、第2図のように複数の合成樹脂成形物1゜2の溶
着部には金属体3が埋入するから剪断応力、耐衝撃力も
大となる。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明は溶着すべき複数の熱可塑性合成樹脂成形物間に
金属体を設け、この金属体を高周波誘導加熱により急速
に加熱した後、熱可塑性合成樹脂成形同志を溶着するも
のであるから、迅速且つ強力に溶着出来るとともに、金
属体が埋入した溶着部の断面構造になって耐衝撃力、剪
断応力も大となり、接着作業が行いにくい箇所をも容易
に高周波加熱出来、その効果は大きい。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 溶着すべき複数の熱可塑性合成樹脂成形物間に金属体を
    設け、この金属体を高周波誘導加熱により急速に加熱し
    た後、熱可塑性合成樹脂成形物同志を溶着することを特
    徴とする複数の合成樹脂成形物を溶着する方法。
