Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 イ 発明の目的 (産業上の利用分野) この発明は、例えば自動車の合成樹脂製タンクに合成樹
脂製注入管を接合するような場合に、高周波誘導コイル
により合成m脂部品同士を溶着する方法である。
(従来の技術) このような合成樹脂製の2個の部品を溶着するのに、高
周波誘導コイルを使用して接合部に介在させた鉄等の金
属環に電流を発生させ、これのジュール熱により接合部
を加熱溶融させてから、両部品を圧接し、冷却固化させ
て両部品を一体に接合する方法は公知である。高周波誘
導コイルの発生する磁力線を接合部の金属環に集中させ
て接合部の加熱を迅速に行なわせることは、特開昭59
−60195号公報に記載されており、また金属環とし
て鉄等の金属m!aを埋設した合成樹脂環を使用する技
術(特願昭59−178288号)も考えられている。
(発明が解決しようとする問題点) このように高周波誘導コイルにより合成樹脂部品1,2
を加熱し溶着する際に、第4図のように両部品1.2の
接合部Aが高周波誘導コイル3の中央部にあるとき(4
は金属環)は、短時間で発熱し、両部品を溶着させるこ
とができるが、第5図のように接合部Aが誘導コイル3
の端部に位置したり、誘導コイルから外れたりすると、
十分発熱させるまでに誘導コイル3への通電を長く継続
しなければならず、作業に多くの時間を要するようにな
り、作業俺率が悪くなる。
これは、誘導コイル3の発生する磁力線の密度が、コイ
ル内では密であるが、コイルを外れるに従って疎になる
ため、金属環4への磁力線集中効果が不十分となるため
と考えられる。
口 発明の構成 (問題点を解決するための手段) この発明の合成樹脂部品の溶着方法は、高周波誘導コイ
ルを外れた位置に、環状のフェライトコアを置くことに
より、誘導コイルの発生する磁力線を引寄せて、金属環
の存在する合成樹脂部品の接合部に多くの磁力線が作用
するようにしたものである。
(作   用) 高周波誘導コイルの発生する磁力線は、フェライトコア
に引付けられてその経路を曲げられるため、合成樹脂部
品の接合部に多くの磁力線を向わせることができて、接
合部にある金属環を発熱させ両部品の加熱溶融を迅速に
して溶着を能率よく行なうことができる。
(実 施 例) 第1図は、合成樹脂部品1.2の接合部Aが、高周波誘
導コイル3の下部にある場合に、2個のフェライトコア
5.6を接合部Aの上下に配置した例を示す。
磁力線は、誘導コイル3の中にまで入り込んだ上部のコ
ア5のため金属環4から大きく離れないように引付けら
れ、下部のコア6のためこの作用を強められて、磁力線
が接合部に集中し、金属環4を迅速に発熱させるように
するものである。
接合部の樹脂が溶融したならば、両部品を支持治具7、
加圧治具8により圧接して融着させる。
この場合、上部のファライトコア5は加圧治具8に接着
剤で貼着し、下部のフェライトコア6は、支持治具7の
上面に埋設している。
第2図の例は1両部品l、2の接合部Aが誘導コイル3
番外れてその上端付近にある場合を示す。この場合は、
フェライトコア5を誘導コイル3と接合部Aの上方に位
置させて加圧治具8に取付け、磁力線を上方で集めて接
合部Aの金属環4に集中させるようにしたものである。
この場合も、下方に別のコアを置けば接合部Aに集る磁
力線を一層密にすることができる。
第3図は部品形状の関係で、接合部Aが誘導コイル3か
ら外れてしまう場合の例を示す。この場合は、部品1に
フェライトコア5を取付けて磁力線を接合部Aに向わせ
、金属環4に集中させている。
部品1の形状によりフェライトコア6を環のまま使用で
きない場合は、これを例えば2個のように複数に分割し
て合せ使用するようにすればよい。。
フェライトコアの大きさ、使用個数、取付は位置等は、
接合しようとする部品1.2の形状、大きさ等により決
定される。
ハ 発明の効果 (1)発1旧去工のせ駒によると ファライトコアを使
用しないときに溶着可能程度にまで接合部を加熱するの
に、誘導コイルに20〜60秒の通電を要したが、同じ
ものにフェライトコアを使用すると、2〜10秒の通電
で足りた。
(2)第1図のように、接合部Aが誘導コイル3の中央
に位置する場合でも、フェライトコアを使短縮できた。
(3)第3図のように接合部Aが誘導コイルから離れて
位置する場合は、フェライトコアを使用しないと、コイ
ルに長時間の通電を要するが、フェライトコアを上下ま
たは何れか一方のみに使用すると、接合部がコイルの中
央部にあるのと同程度の通電時間で溶着させることがで
きた。

  1. 接合しようとする2個の合成樹脂部品(1)(2)の金
    属環(4)を介在させた接合部(A)を、高周波誘導コ
    イル(3)により加熱し溶着する方法において、接合部
    (A)の上下のうち少なくとも一方に、環状のフェライ
    トコア(5)(6)を位置させ、高周波誘導コイル(3
    )の発生する磁力線を誘導して接合部の金属環(4)に
    集中させるようにしたことを特徴とする合成樹脂部品の
    溶着方法。
