  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 画素の明度レベルに対応する多値画像データと
    所定配列の微画素閾値データから成る閾値マトリ
    ツクスの各閾値とを比較し、該比較結果に基づき
    階調記録を行なう階調記録装置において、 各閾値が奇数値データのみで構成される第１の
    閾値マトリツクスと、各閾値が隅数値データのみ
    で構成される第２の閾値マトリツクスと、前記多
    値画像データと前記第１の閾値マトリツクスの各
    奇数値データとを比較する第１の比較器と、前記
    多値画像データと前記第２の閾値マトリツクスの
    各偶数値データとを比較する第２の比較器と、前
    記第１および第２の比較器の出力に基づき１徴画
    素が３値による階調記録を行なう記録手段とを具
    えた階調記録装置。
