Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable higher speed action by a method wherein a superconductive film wiring is formed on an insulation substrate, and then a Josephson junction is formed on the side surface of the wiring. CONSTITUTION:The first superconductive film 12 and the second one 14 are formed on the substrate 11, and accordingly the Josephson junction 13 is formed at the joint on the side surfaces of the first and second films 12 and 14. The vertical type formation of the junction with an extremely small area in such a manner enables to improve the integration degree of a Josephson IC and the speed of action due to the decrease of junction capacitance.

ン接合3上と基板1上に第2の超電導膜による配線4が
形成されて成るのが通例であ−た。

を形成後、前=e第1の超電導体配線上に第2の超電導
体膜と、第2の超電導体膜の配線とし7ての不要部分を
