Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔発明の技術分野〕 この発明は、小型のエンジンに用いる気化器の急加速装
置に関する。
〔発明の技術的背景およびその問題点〕気化器で吸気に
燃料を沢入してエンジンに供給するものでは、低速で運
転しているとき、急に気化器のスロワ１〜ルバルブを開
いて急加速に移ると、吸気流れに燃料の追従が遅れ、混
合気が薄くなってエンジンが息付き現象を起す。大型の
エンジンに用いる気化器では、加速ポンプを用いて、急
にスロットルバルブを開いたとぎ、加速ポンプが働いて
、燃料を余分に送って混合気が薄くなることを防いでい
るが、構造が複雑で高価になるので、小型エンジン用の
気化器では、加速ポンプは付けられでいない。したがっ
て、急加速のとき上記のような息イ」き現象を起１こと
がある等の問題がある。
〔発明の目的〕
この発明は、かかる点に鑑み、気化器のスタータ通路を
加速ポンプに代用することによって、安価に急加速時の
恋付き現象を防止でき−Ｃ、スムースに加速できるよう
に改善した気化器の急加速装置を得ることを目的とする
。
（発明の構成） 以下本発明を図面に示す実施例について説明する。
気化器１では、主吸気通路をバイパスするように、スタ
ータ通路２が設けてあって、スタータノズル３から、ス
タータ通路２を流れる吸気に通常より濃い燃料が混入さ
れるようにしである。そして、スタータ通路２には、プ
ランジャー型の摺動させて開閉する開閉弁４が設けてあ
って、低温で冷えたエンジンを始動するときに、開閉弁
４を開いて、スタータ通路２の濃い燃料で始動できるよ
うにして、燃料の気化条件が悪く始動困難な状況を補っ
ている。この発明は、このスタータ通路２を利用するも
ので、開閉弁４をダンパー５を介して、スロットルバル
ブ操作ワイヤ６に連結する。
ダンパー５は、外筒７内に摺動自在にピストン８を設け
、ピストン８に絞り孔９があって、外筒７を急に引くと
、絞り孔９の流量抵抗によってピストン８も外筒７と共
に動き、緩く外筒７を引くと、絞り孔９が抵抗にならず
、ピストン８が残るようにしたものである。尚、始動時
は、開閉弁４は、始動ワイヤ１０で引上げて開く。ダン
パー５で開閉弁４を引上げるときは、始動ワイヤ１０の
端は、長孔１１でフリーになるようにしである。開閉弁
４は、戻しバネ１２で閉じる方向に付勢しである。
〔作　用〕 低回転で運転しているエンジンで、スロットルバルブ操
作ワイヤ６を急に引いて、スロットルバルブを開き急加
速に移ると、スロットルバルブ操作ワイヤ６と連動して
、ダンパー５を介して開閉弁４が引上げられ、スタータ
通路２が開いて、濃い燃料が送られ、燃料が薄くなるこ
とを防いで、加速時の息付き現象を防いで、良好な加速
ができる。スロットルパルスを開いたままで高速を続け
ても、ダンパー５によって、戻しバネ１２の弾力で、開
閉弁４は徐々に戻り、スタータ通路２を閉じる。こうし
て、急加速した一瞬だりスタータ通路２が開いて濃い燃
料を送り、燃料が薄くなることを防ぐ。スロットルバル
ブ操作ワイヤ６を徐々に問いて、緩かに加速するときは
、ダンパー５によって、開閉弁４は開かない。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように、この発明は、気化器のスタータ通
路の開閉弁をダンパーを介してスロットルバルブ操作ワ
イヤに連結し、スロットルバルブを急に開いたとき開閉
弁が連動して開きスタータ通路が開くようにしたので、
急加速に移る一瞬に燃料が遅れて薄くなることを、スタ
ータ通路の濃い燃料で補い、息付きを防いでスムースな
加速ができるようになる。そして、加速ポンプなしで、
安価にできる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 気化器のスタータ通路の開閉弁をダンパーを介してスロ
    ットルバルブ操作ワイヤに連結し、スロワ１〜ルバルブ
    を急に開いたどき開閉弁が連動しＣ開きスタータ通路が
    開くようにしたことを特徴とする気化器の急加速装置。
