Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 従来この種の検査方法では、検査員が印字後のサンプル
をルーペ等によシ目で見て検査を行なっているためドツ
トマトリクスプリンタ１台の検査に多くの時間を費し、
又、人間の目による検査でく確実にドツトマトリクスプ
リンタの印字品質を検査できるドツトマトリクスプリン
タの印字検査方法を提供することにある。
本発明のドツトマトリクスプリンタの印字検査方法は、
ドツトマトリクスプリンタで印字後のフィルムリボンを
読み取シ装置にかけ、フィルムリボン上のインクのはが
れた部分を読み取シ、先に前記読み取シ装置に記憶され
ている特定のパターンと照合し、前記ドツトマトリクス
プリンタの印字品質の検査をすることをｌ特徴とする。
第１図、第２図、第３図は本発明の実施例を示し、第１
図は印字部分の断面図であって、１はサーマルヘッド、
２はフィルムリボンの用材、３はフィルムリボンのイン
ク、４は用紙である。第２図は、印字後のフィルムリボ
ンを示し、５はインクがはがれた部分、６はマーカであ
る。第３図は、フィルムリボンを読み取る部分の断面図
であって、７は光センサである。
つぎにこの動作を説明すると、フィルムリボン上のイン
ク３はサーマルヘッド１を熱する事によシフィルムリボ
ンの用材２よシはかれ落ち、用紙４に付着する。この事
によシフィルムリボン上では第２図の様にインクがはが
れ落ちた部分５、す々わち印字された部分にのみ透明な
部分が出来る。
この透明な部分を正確に読み取る為にフィルムリボンの
横方向にドツト間隔ごとのマーカ６（透明な点）を付け
たフィルムリボンを用いる。
印字パターンを読み取るには、第３図の様に光センサ７
の上を一定速度で印字後のフィルムリボンを動かし上方
よシ光を尚てその光を光センサでマーカ６をセンスした
時のみ光のパターンを読み取る。したがって印字後のフ
ィルムリボンを読み取る事によυドツトヘッドが正常に
動作しているかどうかを検査出来る。
以上説明した様に本発明によれば、人間の目による検査
ではなく、印字後のフィルムリボンを読み取シ装置で読
む事によシ検査時間の短縮及び正確な検査が出来るとい
う利点がある。

ンを示す平面図、第３図は本発明の実施例を示す断面図

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. ドツトマトリクスプリンタで印字後のフィルムリボンを
    読み取シ装置にかけ、フィルムリボン上のインクのはが
    れた部分を読み取シ、先に前記読み取シ装置に記憶され
    ている特定のパターンと照合し、前記ドツトマトリクス
    プリンタの印字品質の検査をすることを特徴とするドツ
    トマトリクスプリンタの印字検査方法。
