Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は磁気記録再生装置、特にディスク型磁気記録再
生装置の記録再生ヘッドの位置決めに関する。
本発明の目的は、増々高トラック密度化される磁気記録
再生装置のヘッドのオフトランク量を減少させることに
ある。
従来磁気記録再生装置のヘッドの位置決め機構トシて、
ステッピングモータの軸に巻かれたスチールバンドによ
りヘッドキャリッジを移動させる方式、あるいはステッ
ピングモータによりスクリーー軸を回転することにより
ヘッドキャリッジを移動させる方式、あるいはランクと
ビニョンにより移動させる方式などがある。以上の方式
はハードディスクを用いたウィンチェスタ−型の装置あ
るいはソフトメディアを用いたフロッピーディスク装置
などに応用されている。特にステッピングモータを利用
したオーブンループ制御によるヘッド位置決め方式は・
ボイスコイルモータを利用したクローズトループ制御方
式に比べて、コスト的にははるかに有利である。しかし
オーブンループ制御で行なうには前述した各方式におけ
る移動方向による位置のヒステリシスは、ヘッド位置決
め精度の大きなファクターの一つである。例えば第１図
（ａ）にラックとビニョン方式による簡略図を示す。１
はランクであり、２は固定されたステッピングモータの
軸にとり付けられたビニョンで、３はヘッドキャリッジ
、４はへラドアーム、５が記録再化ヘッドである・第１
図（ｂ）は各移動方向におけるランクとビニョンの歯の
位置関係の簡略図であり・ピニョン２のうち実線で示し
たのがラックを紙面左方向へ移動させて静止した場合、
破線で示したのが右方向へ移動させて静止した場合であ
り、６の長さ分だけトランク位置の差を生じる。
スクリー一方式についてもスクリーー軸の各回転方向に
よってトランク位置の差を生じる。またスチールバンド
方式にしても、バンドのテンション等の関係からトラッ
ク位置の差を生じる。
本発明は前述したような、外トランクから内側へ移動す
る場合、あるいはその逆の移動の場合とでトラック位置
の差を生ぜしめないよう、ステップ送りの最後で常に同
一方向へステップさせるものである。例えば第２図は、
外側へ移動し、内側へ移動する場合は、目標位置ｒ７１
の１つ内側ｒａ＋１へステップ移動した後に、外側へ向
って１ステツプ移動させる。こうすることにより例えば
第１図で示した差分６が解消される。
このように本発明は、高トラツク密度化されたステッピ
ングモーターによるオーブンル−プ制御の装置には極め
て有効である０

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. ステッピングモータにより記録再生ヘッドの位置決めを
    行なう磁気記録再生装置において、前記記録再生ヘッド
    が静止する前に、常に少くとも１ステツプ同一方向へ移
    動させることを特徴とする磁気記録再生装置。
