Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は外面樹脂被覆鋼管等の接続に用いられる外面樹
脂被覆管継手に関する。
近年都市ガスの地下埋設配管には防食のために樹脂被覆
を施した管および管継手が多く使用されている。
そして接続手段が管用ねじである場合、おねじの露出防
止が一つの問題点であり、管継手の外面の樹脂被覆層に
ねじ接続部に突出する中空部を設けて上記おねじの露出
部をカバーする技術が用いられる。
一方、管用ねじによる接続の良否はおねじの露出山数に
よって判断しなければならないが、上記樹脂被覆層の中
空突出部でカバーした場合には外観上の判断ができない
ため仮締めのまま放置される恐れもある。
本案は上記した欠点を解消したもので、以下実施例につ
いて図示説明する。
第１図はソケット１の外面に端部のねじ接続部に中空部
３を突出形成した樹脂被覆層２を設けたものである。
樹脂層２の中空部３は透明な樹脂により形成する。
図の右側はソケット１を管４と接続した状態を示すもの
で、中空部３の内周面は管４の外周面すなわち樹脂層４
ａと係合している。
中空部３を透明にすることにより、管４のおねじ５とソ
ケット１のめねじ６との係合状態は目視により判断でき
る。
第２図はめずおすＴ７の場合を示したもので、外面を被
覆した樹脂層２にねじ接続部をカバーする中空部は横口
部と下部おねじ部に形成されている。
横口部の中空部３は第１図の例と同様であるが、おねじ
部の中空部３ａはおねじ８のねじ終部から先端にかけて
適宜の長さを有すると共にめねじ継手等の被接続部材の
外周面に係合する内周面を有する。
これら樹脂層の中空部３，３ａを透明な材料により形成
することにより第１図の実施例の場合と同様の効果が得
られる。
なお、上部の接続口は単にプラグで閉塞される部分につ
き中空部の形成は不要である。
その他ねじ以外の接続手段を有する接続口についても上
記中空部は省略する。
以上説明したように本考案はねじ接続手段を有する外面
樹脂被覆管継手にとって好適である。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 端部にねじ接続部を有する金属製管継手の外面に被接続
    部材の外周面に係合する内周面を有する中空部を上記ね
    じ接続部に突出形成した樹脂被覆層を設け、該樹脂被覆
    層の上記中空部を透明な樹脂により形成したことを特徴
    とする外面樹脂被覆管継手。
