Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、前照灯の光度を自動的に制御する車輌の前照
灯自動調光装置に関するものである。
従来より車輌の前照灯の光度は、手動操作による段階制
御がほとんどであり、交差点での対向車の前照灯消し忘
れによるまぶしさや、トンネル通行時の前照灯のつけ忘
れ等は、交通安全上、甚だ危険なものである。
そこで本発明は、車輌の速度と車輌前部の照度の２つの
要素から最適な前照灯の光度に自動的に制御し、上記従
来の欠点を解消したものである。
以下、本発明を添付図面を参照して説明する。
図において、１は車輌の速度を検出する速度検出器、２
は速度検出器１からの検出信号を速度に比例した電圧に
変換する速度電圧変換器、３は車輌前部の照度を検出す
る照度検出器、４は照度検出器３からの検出信号を照度
に比例した電圧に変換する照度電圧変換器、５は前照灯
、６は前照灯５の電源、７は速度電圧変換器２及び照度
電圧変換器４からの電圧信号にもとづき前照灯５への供
給電圧を制御する自動電圧調整器で、車輌の速度が遅い
場合、車輌前部の照度が高い場合は前照灯５の光度を落
す方向に制御するものである。なお、図示しておらない
が、前照灯６の最低光度を補償する最低電圧補償器や手
動切換器を付加してもよい。
以上の構成より明らかなように本発明は、車輌速度と車
輌前部の照度にもとづき前照灯の光度を自動的に制御す
るので、前照灯の光度を最適な値に自動的、かつ連続的
に制御することができ、交差点での前照灯消し忘れ、ト
ンネル通行時の前照灯のつけ忘れ等の交通安全上の危険
性を未然に防止することができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 車輌の速度を検出する速度検出器と、この速度検出器か
    らの検出信号を速度に比例しだ電圧に変換する速度電圧
    変換器と、車輌前部の照度を検出する照度検出器と、こ
    の照度検出器からの検出信号を照度に比例しだ電圧に変
    換する照度電圧変換器と、前記速度電圧変換器と照度電
    圧変換器の電圧値にもとづき前照灯への供給電圧を制御
    する自動電圧調整器とを備えた車輌の前照灯自動調光装
    置。
