PURPOSE:To secure the margin of the active region more widely, by providing two pairs of shunt resistances in parallel to the control terminal of a switching circuit and a gate input terminal, and connecting Josephson effect elements in series to two shunt resistances. CONSTITUTION:Shunt resistances RgA, RgB, RcA, and RcB are connected to a gate input terminal G and a control terminal C of a switching circuit G1 constituting a closed loop line with four Josephson effect elements JJ1-JJ4. Josephson effect elements JJA and JJB are connected in series to resistances RcA and RcB connected to the terminal C respectively. In this constitution, when a signal current IA is first supplied from the external, the current IA is flowed to the circuit G1 from points G and C. Under this state, the level of the current IA is low, and the circuit G1 is not switched. When the other signal current IB is supplied to the point of an input terminal B, the circuit G1 is transferred from the superconduction state to the resistance state and is switched. The difference of the time lag between two input signals produces a wide active region of this logical operation circuit.
